Not so clever foccer
« on: 31 March 2022, 11:16:47 pm »
Hello one and all, new member been loitering around here since I got my 600 03 fazer last year. Been riding for quite a few years now but a couple of weeks ago was a first.
I have discovered it really isn’t big or clever to set off with the disc lock still attached!
And so one fairing repair later and we are up and running again, just got to repair the bruised pride now….
Ken (hanging around in the Cotswolds when I’m not in the Isle of Man).

A mistake you generally only ever make once...  :'(

Well, until you get one of those extendable plastic keyring/ clips that you put on the disc lock and brake lever.

I mean it's not as if you've tried to ride off with the chain still in place around the back wheel and then had to start unbolting the hugger so you can get it free...  :o

Another simple mistake that you hope not to repeat is parking on the side stand in neutral while pointing down hill.  :o

Hello and welcome.  :)

Happened to me once on my sloping drive. Fazer rolled off the side stand and knocked over my Speed Triple, also on the side stand in neutral. Two bikes on the floor  :eek
