power comander 3
« on: 18 June 2014, 01:10:11 pm »
I am looking at buying a second hand pc3 but there is no software disc or usb cable with it. I assume I could just get an usb cable from maplins that would do the job so not too bothered about that. Is the software disc  necessary? Also do I need to disable the O2 sensor?
I am not bothered about fitting instructions as I found a youtube vid that showed how to do it but would I need the instructions to show me how to download a map for it and set it up correctly.
Or am I just better off splurging 3 times the cost of the second hand one and buying a new one?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I suppose the main thing is it has to have the correct wiring loom plugs on it, so Yamaha FZ1s also R1 i think

:o The guy at work brought the power commander round to my house this afternoon and it does not fit my bike. The wiring plugs are completely different. The part number on it is unreadable so we could not even find out which bike it is meant to fit. He bought it second hand himself to put on an 2006 R1 which was written off before he fitted it so it looks like he got the wrong one in the first place.
Time to dig deep and buy a new one I think.
