Carb rubber query
«

I’ve noticed that the carb rubbers are misaligned with the cylinder head internally!
Is this by design or did Yamaha just hung on bits from the parts bin?.. and has anyone found alternatives that fit better?

Seem to remember when I refurbished my carbs a couple of years ago there is a slight step where the carb' 'stubs' abut up to the rubber inlet tubes. This does't affect the running of the engine at all.
