I'm probably stuck with the kids (loving father huh!) this weekend since SWMBO is working and need to sort the rear tyre on the blade anyway as the existing one is down to the markers (can't think why...). I've got a spare in the garage that has been sitting for about 2-3 yrs (I replaced it with a new one when going touring the Alps but it only had a couple of thousand on it so kept it). Question is whether it's safe to put a tyre on that's been lying about for that long (dry conditions). I reckon the sensible answer is 'no' but maybe it'll see me through on the odd few runs left this year ready for replacement next spring - hmmmmm...

Shouldn't be long now till we get a dry 2 or 3 days, maybe even get the bike out in March !!!

It's rained or snowed here every day at some point since the 29th December. If evolution is on course we will soon be born with webbed feet.

I'm doing a bout of some cold turkey here........the bike has been garaged since the end of October due to poor weather and other shitey commitments....roll on some decent weather and hopefully an early spring is on the cards

My FZ6 has been used for commuting almost every day all winter - it's been wet & cold  most days but not TOO bad + I am only going about 14 miles. There have however been a couple of days where the roads have been totally dry - which I reckon is very unusual for this time of year. Needless to say the blade is tucked up in the garage sucking on optimate and hot cocoa!

Looking forward to some good runs this year and catching up with folks.
