Thanks for the tip Grahamm. I have just bought a new computer and it is not happening on this one for some reason. Pop Up adverts recently appearing on the Met Office Weather website. I use this site many times a day to plan my outings and they are very annoying !

I totally agree, darrsi. A real pain in the neck. Demanding money or treats with menaces ! Yesterday evening we had three different groups hammering the front door. One of these groups was 9 strong, 4 adults hiding in the shadows, and 5 brats presenting at the door. We don't answer the door but after a full days work all my wife wants is peace and quiet. My nervous cat is not impresssed either, especially with the bloody fireworks exploding at the same time !

The wheel has not been off recently. It was off last December. There was only one broken off tab there today when I removed it, so I don't know if it's been running on one for a while. I bought a new one for £24-95 plus postage.

Checked all connections. Everything seemed good. Took front wheel off and found a broken rotor sensor. Just fitted a new one. All is good again.

Thank-you, unfazed. I shall check this before wheel removal. Much appreciated.

Hi Jamie. Thank-you so much for the reply. I couldn't see what the wayward wire had to do with the speedo and you have confirmed my thoughts. I shall follow your advice and check the other things. Thanks again.

Set off for a ride this morning on my 2000, FZS 600. I went over some speed bumps and no speedo reading. Just got back and found an unconnected wire. Please see photo. Could some kind person please tell me where this connects to ?

Hi HarryHornby. The stand was well used and had some corrosion. The company stripped it back and did the job that you see. I arrived early to pick it up and had to wait as it was hanging up to cool down after the curing process. Glad that you have sorted yours out.

Very , very sorry to hear this, but relieved that Dave has escaped with what are hopefully not too serious injuries. Get well soon !

The bike on the left looks like it may be a Norton, comparing it with the attached photo.

This photo was taken outside my old school in the 1920's. Cool bikes and even cooler looking riders ! Just love the headwear.

What a great report this is. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, being the owner of two 600 Fazers. Thank you for taking the time and trouble to do this, Paul. It certainly gives me some pointers as to what to look out for in the years to come.

Hi, Hamahaa, and welcome to the forum. You have certainly done a lot of work on the bike. Post a photo if you are able. Look forward to viewing it. Regarding upgrades, I can't help you there. Mine are just bog standard.

Just got back from a ride to Port Vale Football Club, Stoke on Trent, where a Staffordshire Bikers' Breakfast event was held. Very well attended. One of the stands was manned by a paramedic who featured on 'Emergency Bikers'. I got chatting to two local bikers, one of whom was a ' foccer '. Good to meet you lads. I attach a photo of his immaculate 2003 FZS 600.

A ride to Cannock Chase to see an old friend, then to the K1 Cafe, near Uttoxeter, and back home to Wrexham. A nice condition GS 750 at the cafe. Beautiful warm day, light traffic. 150 miles.
