Already signed it. All that's going to happen is that the bikers just go somewhere else, so instead of making a couple of hundred quid every weekend the council are going to lose thousands in business rates. Moronic.

I've got me dad looking after Black Bess while I'm in the States, and while she's there I thought I'd task him with a bit of maintenance.

The bolts that hold the exhausts onto the engine, does anyone know what size they are and where I can get a nice set of rustproof stainless ones, with a gasket, too?

My Capri was B116 CCK

I'm going to have to pull out as well, I'm afraid, since I'm moving to the States.

That works pretty well, since he lives in Levenshulme, so we can cut straight to the A57. Finally get to do Snake pass as a biker! Ha!

How's life treating you, Ralphie?

Yeah, but I'm not! Hoping having him try and keep up with me will convince him to buy a proper bike!

Going to my mate's house over the weekend for a rideout before I leave for the weekend, up in Manchester. Used to live up there myself, but I was a cager, so I only know the motorways.

Any ideas for a loop, starting and ending in Manchester, with a length of about 4 / 5 hours? He's a cruiser rider, so nothing too arduous...

Not sure if this has been posted before, but this is a software program that lets you stick routes into a tomtom or garmin GPS unit, and the website is a community of bikers who create interesting routes and share them.

Oh, and the creator's a biker ;-)

Want to learn to be a bit lot quicker, and a days track instruction at £130 seems too good to be true. So it probably is.

Anyone heard anything about them?

Yeah, well, I'm fine. The next poor biker this dickhead hits may not be so lucky.

A30 in Staines, on a roundabout. Somehow a moron tried to merge into my lane and clipped the back of my bike. Stayed upright and all he managed to do was smash half the number plate off, but I managed to put a decent ding in his passenger door with my shiny new Daytonas (No holes!). Cunt drove off without checking to see if he'd killed me. Had a bunch of Jesus fish on the back as well.

Got stopped by a plod once, but he was pretty understanding. There is an upside though, no plate meant I could blast along the south circular at 50...

Got home safely meself last night, after a wicked weekend. Not such a scary lot, are ye? ;-)

Moff, any money you think I'm owed, get a drink on me with it. Thanks for organising, most fun I've had in ages.

I can't remember, but I think there're rules about locking blades, too, which leathermans do.

AIUI, unless you are a musician or need a completely flat frequency response, they're not any better for you on a bike than standard ones.
Good to know before dropping £200 on a set!

I normally keep a couple sets of cheapo foam ones since I only use them for long journeys. That said, Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse and Ministry have killed big chunks of my hearing.

I've been looking at some of those musicians' ones that just bring the volume down without masking the sound, but they're not cheap; you have to get them fitted, too.

Meniers disease is a fluid balance in the semicicular canals, IIRC. Alan Sheperd got it after his Mercury spaceflight and it grounded him. He got it surgically corrected and was the commander of Apollo 14, so it's not all doom and gloom...

It's a toss-up between this and something I took at one of the temples at Siem Riep, but it's my favourite, so nyer:

Bonus points if you know where it is.

Yeah, seems every time I go to somewhere selling gear there's someone there trying to get some help with a stuck visor. Those side-pods are a killer, it seems.

Unlikely to bother me though, I only ever use clear visors...
