How times have changed. In the mid sixties when I lived at RAF Northolt, I use to ride that stretch of the A40 up to the Ace cafe on my Triumph Speedtwin. You youngsters don't know what you missed

Alan, Carole Nash do a 6 wheel insurance to cover car and bike. They also include breakdown cover. If your car and bike insurance are due around the same time, it my be worth giving them a call.

What happens if a used car dealer hasn't got trade plates? He will need to tax it, so that a punter can take it for a test drive. If this is the case, he will be added to the V5C reg document as the new owner! This scenario will also apply to bikes

If I had need to buy a s/h bike before then and not found out I would have been none the wiser.
Hmm. If you buy bike before 1st October, old system still in force. Interestingly the DVLA site say direct debit can be annually, six monthly or monthly. You don't get a six monthly option at present with taxing bikes up to 400cc.

Ha, Ha, Bob Davies, you'll be lucky. Most second hand car dealers refer to a service as oil and filter change. And unless you had your conditions in writing, you have no chance. Put it down to experience and move on.

Oh come on............... there has to be someone older than me on this forum. August 1966, Triumph Tiger Cub 200cc, around the block jobbie, wearing jeans, jacket and sheepskin lined flying boots and a lid with goggles. Those were the days.

How about Autobahn style derestriction between 11pm and 4am?
Yeah right. The Chavs would love that. Causing carnage and blocking the roads for the following mornings rush hour(s)

It is only a Bus Lane between 7am and 7pm. Outside of those hours any vehicle can use the lane.
