battery charged now servo does not self test but works?
« on: 17 July 2014, 09:36:30 am »
Could really do with some help :o

2001 Fazer 1000

Battery went flat over winter, charged battery, bike starts and run great, Exup servo and exhaust valve work fine when I rev engine.

problem is when ignition is turned on, servo does not self test, immobiliser light does not flicker, sometimes relay makes a clicking sound like when battery would be flat.

I have attached a car battery via jump leads, same result.

help please :'( :'(

Be cool, no worries. The Exup does not have a self test. With ignition the Exup goes to its parking/neutral position. It does not make any move at next ignition off/on, except the engine has been started in the meantime.
Your bikes doesn't have an immobilizer light. Or did you add one?
Clicking might come from the fuel pump.

Or did I missread it and the bike doesn't start anymore?

many thanks for your reply.

the bike had a red flashing light on the instrument panel before battery went flat, I thought that was a alarm light. I have not fitted an alarm but thought the light was a sign of an alarm fitted.

the bike starts and runs fine.

sorry, it was the servo that self tested on turning on the ignition
