I stuck mine on the main stand when I had speedo issues. Just put it in 1st or 2nd at tickover it will be enough to see if it reads. If it falls off the stand for any reason it’s off on its own!

Was once at a bike awareness event we set up and got talking to a bike copper with a laser gun. Phenomenal optics by the way. He advised if we ever see a trap and are going too fast, accelerate rather than brake as they need to capture the number plate and going slowly makes it easier. Obviously I don’t condone speeding!

Broke the screen 😢. Side stand sank when checking into a rally. Anyone got a screen on offer for a gen1 1000?

Never seen the ‘non-taper’ types before. The normal ones are commonly available.

Before kids ruined my fun, used to tour Europe extensively. Used a Zumo 550 with auto rerouting turned off. That way I could see vaguely where I wanted to head for, but didn’t have it nagging me all the time.

Can’t help yet, but I’ll watch with interest!
I was going to have a play with that wire over winter to see if it was worth connecting.

Agreed, I put one on my ‘new’ bike not long after i bought it, mainly as I wanted a temperature gauge, but think it’s excellent. Not wired up the 3rd button, may mess with that over winter to see what it does!
Christians site also suggests it will probably work with the tdm900.

Notice this bike has just popped up on eBay sporting a new black paint job and 1 mile more on the clock than when I sold it.

Good afternoon. I'm from Russia, from the city of Irkutsk, I learned that you are doing a Multi-Gauge for motorcycles. I want to buy it on the Yamaha FZS1000 in 2002. Can you send to Russia? How much does a Multi-Gauge cost? Thank you.
This is an old thread, you need to email the seller direct at cvieth@vodafone.de I bought one about 2 weeks ago, he gives great service.

That's about it - not too desperate as I have a red one I bought for the manky bike I've now got rid of, but would prefer silver to colour match my present bike.

No idea to be honest!
Have run one of my bikes without that cable for at least 20,000 miles with no ill effect.
Just wondered if it would close the throttle butterflies if the carb return spring broke?

Bought all these bits for my black Fazer that I gave up on, so now for sale as not needed for the silver one. Centre stand - surface rust in places but works fine, complete with mounting bolts and spring. Untitled by d.a.thornber@btinternet.com, on Flickr Main ECU module - bought for fault finding a speedo fault (turned out to be damaged cabling) tested by substitution and works. Check numbers as I believe these changed on later models. Untitled by d.a.thornber@btinternet.com, on Flickr Rear hugger - currently in blue, I intended to repaint, but replacement bike already has one fitted. Has a crack on one mounting hole. Reluctantly let the fazer sell on eBay, ended up out of pocket by about £400 :-(. Still it was doing my head in 😢and the new one is very nice 😀. May now actually be able to get my little baby up and running again!
Thanks for the support on this thread, something's aren't meant to be!
Just hope the black one gets collected and paid for now.

It's a credit to its previous owner! It's got around 34,000 on it. It's an 03 plate, the black one it a 52 and has 'yamaha' rather than the tuning fork logos. Also the speedo on the newer one is marked 10,20,30 etc, rather than 20, 40, 60 etc. I guess the slight change bits have been in 2003 sometime!
