Any biker meets coming up in S.Wales
« on: 29 July 2013, 11:18:37 am »
Past few years seem to have been lacking biker bashes in s.Wales , we use to have quite a few including the Welsh bike show in Builth Wells , i know they still have the Beer bikes bash but have not seen much else locally , done Weston bike night few times ,Paignton big bike event weekend and Poole bike night ,done few runs to the Ace cafe (love the place but hate those roads) too much riding in crazy
traffic and bunged up roads , so are there any decent events coming up local-ish ?

I know the west wales bike show is in Carmarthen in a couple of weeks, I'll be going to that as its only down the road and should be a good day.

Im off the next few days, if anyone fancies a spin im up for it

If my bike passes it's MOT tomorrow morning that is!, it will though, it's a  :faz

If im honest i prefer the ratio to be more in favour of the riding rather than the meeting if that makes sense, like i like a little bit of socialising along the way but it's just allot better riding in a pack & if i stop for too long then i lose my mojo :b

Well, I was just thinking the weather looks good for it. Originally I was going to go to the Oasis in Brecon and do a ride from there. If I get there early enough, I suppose I could push on to Llandovery though. Don't count on me, if I make it, all well and good but don't wait for me. Where you headed for a spin?
Ah, just got your last. Leominster would add quite a few miles to what already promises to be a long (but good) day. No, I'll stick with my original and hope I can catch up to you at Llandovery.

We will be at Llandovery at 10.10 or later for a bit of brekkie.

It's at the Eastern end of the town, bang on the A40 - big bus stop/car park. It's a little, permanent, stand-alone kiosk thingy easily seen from the road - there's usually some bikes there.

Going from memory - when leaving the Oasis to go on A40 East, I turned left out of car park, then come to a set of lights, turn right - I think there's a garage on that junction, don't know about Morrisons. You can't miss the bus stop/car park and anyway, Brecon's only a small place - if you ask someone locally I'm sure they'll know. :)

Well noggy, you missed a bute of a fried breakfast in Landovery,,you would of loved it,,uummmmm, yum yum

Was riding through Brecon Beacons national park and caught up with this bloke,,yellow Fazer 1000, followed him to the cafe , mirrored all his overtakes, especially the long line of touring bikes,,choppers etc,,followed him through the winding valleys.
Stopped at the cafe and i saw him start to phone someone,,,and ,,alas my phone rang,,it was Nick Crisp, lol

Theres him on his yellow peril.
