Thanks for looking into it mate,
it now is perfect and starts straight up, i guess it was an electrical item playing up, and as you know the bastard will do it again at the wrong time,
thats why i am in the AA.
The battery is good, keep it topped up, turns over for a while when the problem occurred, hope its not a loose wire or connector, could be a pain.

My VFR 750 only had 45000 on the clock but i had to change it for a newer bike because i cannot get repatriation breakdown cover on a bike over 12 or 14 years old,from europe that is, when touring.

We have a small meetup at Bishops Cleeve,Cheltenham on SUnday morning, some of us who are sorting the trip to Mugello in May.
I will have to dig out the thermals, i have a textile outfit,much warmer than leathers.

Well i lifted the tank and could see the fuel pipe, the curve does not look like its crimped, quite sharp bend but it looks ok. Anyway what i did notice while pressing the starter button trying to start it on the dash there is a light with a picture of an engine, in yellow. Now when it would not start this was flashing , and now its decided to behave all of its own accord when i press the starter this yellow engine light stays lit until it fires,,then goes out,, So the question is does anyone know what this indicates, the yellow engine light flashing while pressing the starter and it wont start?

Well i tried to start it earlier and i cranked it over for ages until lt did start. But now its bloody starting as soon as i touch the start button.
I will lift the tank tomorrow to see if the fuel line looks ok, but something odd is happening.

Yipee !!!!!! Sunday afternoon and its DRY , so kitted up , bike out fired it up , off to garage, 8 miles.. stop it , fill it. it wont start,,tried bumping it,no no,,,so AA were called as my battery soon died, his power pack got it going,,,dont know if i ran out of fuel at a fuel station or if its started to be naughty.. Rode home,, stopped it, restarted it and di 30 great great miles,, that smaller front sprocket sure makes it better on the local A roads, no need to change down, Got home , stopped it and 5 minutes later it wont start,,,,,,,,, bastard.. Will disconnect pc3 and retry to eliminate that,,,but whats happening,,,bummer  Still,,,had a fab ride though
