Hi griff86 sorry for the late reply... my understanding is the difference in the seats is only the height of the foam.. i think theres a post on here somewhere confirming that.. if i find it il link to it here.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: What's this noise?

Its your cam chain, mine did the same thing and was replaced which cured it though ive noticed a slight tick again on mine but nowhere near what it was. You can get chains with softlinks now.. saves splitting the engine.. think D.I.D do the for about £60.

Fazer Jake does your tacho drop to 0 when yours does it? as said mine does but the bike isnt cutting out.. as bikemad suggested i will check the connections and if i can check the battery voltage. Bike always starts first turnover so its hard to hear if its turning over slower.

Thanks,
Alex

FZS600 Fazer / Problem?
« on: 16 May 2012, 10:04:10 pm »
Hi all, have an issue ive just discovered with my 02.. basically when you press the passing light all the lights on the clocks flash as if you had just turned the ignition on?. It only seems to do it the first time you flash the lights then works as it should. Bike doesnt cut out or anything.
Anyone else came across this?

thanks, Alex.

I bought a wrench from ebay when i started doing my own oil changes... but i only put them on hand tight and they always screw off with the hand again.. handy to have though!

Im a fan of Castrol Power 1 semi myself.. use it in both bikes and never had a problem. A little more expensive maybe but i prefer knowing i have decent stuff in the engine and it likes it too!.

Nice picture, where was it taken?
This was taken on the North Coast of N.Ireland not that far from Portrush. Castle in background is Dunluce Castle.

Ah right good stuff, told you they fitted the 600  ;)  lol. I put new pins in it along with new pads and other than a clean it bolted straight on with the mod of the hanger. Feels better than stock but will know better when get out out on the road after the winter.

Looks good Lumpy, i have not tried mine yet as i dont take it out in the winter.. its been in the shed wrapped up since october  :'( .. i used calipers to make sure the washers were the same size and they are nice and flat so all should be good. I may take them off again but will decide when i get it out again.
