Insurance renewal
« on: 22 November 2012, 10:34:50 am »
It's that time of year when I need to shop around for a good deal on my Fazer 600 insurance, especially when my current insurer Devitt have put my premium up and included a £10 renewal fee (WTF!!). I ain't paying them £10 to renew, so unless they can match the best quote from 'The Bike Insurer' comparison site, £78 from Saga Select, I'm off to Saga to start smelling of wee and thinking about buying a thou  :lol

That Saga quote did sound good until I went to pay for it & found out that it didn't include legal cover etc., the final quote came out at about £130, nearly the same as Devitt's renewal. Devitt did appear on the list of quotes from The Bike Insurer (£113), and I rang them to see if they would match the online quote, and they wouldn't, even though I explained to them that the Devitt online was actually the same company as the Devitt I'm already insured with. Oh well, let my existing policy lapse on expiry and take out a new policy with ..........err..........the same company.  :rolleyes

ChristoT, Christ that's a lot.

My eldest turns 18 in December and has a full licence (restricted jobbie) since August. He has an ER5 and has just been quoted around £200 TPFT for his renewal including business use and pillions. That is with 2 years no claims which does make a difference.

His car is also up for renewal on his birthday and has managed to get a quote for £1500 FC too.
