Title: just got me a thou
Post by: Curly on 25 September 2011, 07:11:01 pm
hello chaps. i just recently traded my old fsz600 in for a gen1 54plate thou. Should it have rear bungee hooks like the 600? and if not how do you bungee stuff to the back seat ? The grab handles ?

cheers
Matt

Hi and welcome.   :)

Look at the rear footrests and you'll see they've got castings in them to accept bungee hooks.

And there should be one incorporated in the exhaust end can bolt too if it's still got the original one fitted.

I keep looking at those little plasic plug things under the tail piece and thinking.........

If you mean the press-in panel fixings, forget it.  There's not sufficient strength in the plastics for them to take any kind of pressure or load.

cheers chaps .I had seen the pillion peg points. On the 600 i used the pillion pegs and two that flipped out near the number plate. Ah well all that extra bhp makes up for bungee points. i will have to come up with another solution for strapping my bag to the back seat.

Get a Kriega tailpack. Comes with it's own straps and dead easy to take off to carry with you.  :)
