Brakes
« on: 26 May 2012, 05:29:00 pm »
Just changed my pads to EBC bedding them in at the moment i noticed they do rub a touch (it will still rotate 1 turn easy) then do get hot after riding and when i brake at high speeds i do feel some slight vibration through the handle bars.

is this normal until the pads break in?

sounds as warped disc. You didn't apply any force against it to extract the old pads, did you?

Got mine back from the garage today after having new EBC HH sintered pads fitted and new calliper seal kits fitted on front, got home, all of a mile in distance,  knelt down for a quick inspection and the discs were HOT, I could touch them, but they were hot, never had this before, I've had luke warm but not hot.

I'm hoping it's like this while they bed in.....we'll see after the commute on Monday....little concerned now  :(

I would SERIOUSLY consider reading about my troubles a few posts down on the forum, titled  "FRONT BRAKE CALIPERS / BRAKE JUDDER"

Its sorted itself out  :rolleyes no more rubbing after a 30 mile rideout.

There is some juddering however i think this is off the road surface as it happens at high speed braking when the forks are maxed out
