Be wary of that hire bike...
check the terms and small print, as if it goes 50/50 or in her favour you may be liable to pay for the whole bike rental...and it won't be cheap

the hole description id say is 99% chance it's from a cig, my bike cover has a few of them from one of my muppety mates chucking cig ends from our old balcony and the wind catching them and them landing on the cover... -_-

rode to view/put deposit on the womans r3, oil and filter change (realised it still had the oem filter in place which was a knightmare to get off!) chain adjusted, battery charged after near battery death in birmingham (luckily after letting it cool slightly and dual lights disabled it started)

Anyone any idea where to get a decent seat cowl for the fz6? All I can find is unpainted power bronze ones for silly money. There looks to have been some by a company called TCP but looks like they went under? At this rate I may try and make one myself with fibreglass or something

we'll actually be down there tomorrow as i need new gloves and the woman needs some textile trousers and all nearer places don't sell any that fit her right
Bikers world had zero items that fit the woman, she wasn't happy, not having much luck finding woman shaped textiles at all, (including the 'womens' ones)

Huzzah, ridden and tested.
The chinese levers seem to be fine, had to set the clutch one quite close in with muchos adjustment to get the biting point where I want it though compared to the original but all is well.
the pimping of the bike can continue once more. Also not noticed any water pissing out the zorst anymore, think it just needed a proper heating up, sounds so much better than stock and i've still got the baffles in) next pimping up part to come is my rad cover then i'm going to stick side/lower fairing on when i've the money spare and a bit more orange somewhere but undecided.

fitted my levers yesterday with no issue, they look good, won't be able to take the bike out though and test them until i swap over my sprocket carrier (hopefully this evening)
not test ridden yet still, new slip on exhausts are pissing water out so need to seal them...one thing after another at the moment ¬_¬

think i'm just gonna sell the rack, seems like too much faff and I don't use it massively often these days anywho. will invest in a tail pack instead if I need luggage, otherwise use the car if it's larger luggage.
Thanks for the info though

As it happens, i had some delivered yesterday, will be fitting them tonight and using them before the end of the week (when a few other bits are fitted) so can give you a first impression by then
i've black and orange adjustable ones, seem decent in hand but in use could be entirely different

Right, i've fitted a set of scorpion cans to my fazer but then realised it's not possible to fit my givi rack and box with the exhaust in place (the brackets don't fit round them)
is there any way of easily bodging this or are there any alternative racks available that don't go round the exhaust/still fit with aftermarket cans on?

broke it, that's what i did did headlight mod and fitted new exhaust but realised had stripped the studs on rear sprocket carrier when torquing it up... so another delay in riding! replacement coming from a breakers hopefully tomorrow. Also never blindly follow the torque values in the service manual....

they weren't flared enough, I went an acquired a digital caliper and a riveting pin from a motion pro tool and bodged it into my cheap chinese tool which did the job fine then

I'm looking at getting a new radiator cover for my 08 s2, however need to know the size required, does anyone know what the size should be? Also is there any difference between the 06 rad/cover size over the 08?

So...i made the mistake of blindly following the service manual and have stripped 2 studs on the rear sprocket. Any idea if rear sprocket carrier is year specific or would say a carrier from a 2005 fit my 2008?
