My tax disc holder is held on to the left fork by the bolt that holds the brake line in place.

Dammit, there's too much bloody choice!!  :lol

Now looking at the Pilot Road IIIs and those Metzeler M5s; I might have to toss a coin to decide!! The Bridgestones will be my fuck-it-I-can't-be-bothered-to-look-anymore backup.  :)

Get one of each.....sorted!

If I could... As it is, one set represents half my food budget this month...  :'(
I meant get an M5 front and a PR3 rear  :)

Are the Iridiums worth the extra cost?

For the sake of a couple of quid more each i'd say yes, as they'll last longer.

What about the carb rubbers themselves, they can deteriorate over time, maybe worth checking for cracking or splitting causing too much air intake.

Sprockets have not got anything to do with the speedo, it's more to do with revolutions of the front wheel.

Its already had a litre of the IPA stuff you recommended go through it and the carbs have been off and cleaned twice and balanced twice :P Its also had a replacement air filter and oil filter and two changes of oil (after it dumped most of it over the roads...)

Pretty sure it has some more significant issues :P

Kentish - not looking to sell it I'm afraid :P Looking to fix it - this engine just needs to last long enough for me to finish rebuilding the other one, then they will be swapped over and I can start on a full rebuild of this one :)

IPA is more for getting water out of the tank, and lowering the freezing point of water in winter (carb icing).
The STP will clean carbon deposits off the internals, carbs, valves, etc.

The 02/03 has the bigger tank, i think you're looking more around the 220 to 230 mark with normal riding, but without a working gauge i would aim at around the 200 miles per full tank to be safe.

Mine chokes and splutters when it starts and will attempt to idle somewhere between 900-1000 before dying unless I hold the throttle on slightly or use the choke (after about 30-60 seconds of holding the throttle though, otherwise it will die). Once its finally warm it will idle around the 1200 but its soo rough its a bit all over the place...

My engine is soo screwed up :P

How much of that stuff do you put it per litre of petrol?

I used half a bottle each in 2 full tanks of fuel, and had very noticeable results  :thumbup

Doesn't sound right to me - I'd expect idle speed to drop as it warms up, if anything.
Mine idles 1100-1200 cold, and about 900 warm (it's a tad low, I know), although there's no choke on mine. 1200-1300 is about right.

Really, that sounds the wrong way round to me?
900rpm must sound like it's about to conk out i'd have thought?
I'll let you know exactly what mine does in an hour after i get to work.

Started it up, on a dampish morning, no choke used, and i s'pose it ticked over for a minute between 1050 and 1100rpm.
Half a mile later it was sitting quite happily around the 1150rpm mark, then another half mile later it was rock solid at 1200rpm, around 5mins after initial start up and in slowish moving traffic.

I find that the more responsive the brakes feel the more respect you give them, but all in the knowledge that if you need to grab them in an emergency then the bike will stop.
I ride a lot in traffic up close to other vehicles so having sharp braking, and knowing exactly what they're going to do is very important for me.

Okay, that's a bit different, i thought you were talking about bigger figures than that.
Little bit more info next time please!
1200rpm is spot on.

Braided lines are okay but not a be all and end all. You lose so much feel

Debatable  :)
