A question regarding clutch
« on: 20 October 2015, 09:07:49 pm »
Greetings to fellow Fazer riders, I hope you all are having a pleasant autumn rides :)

a question:

my clutch leaver has a lot of travel up and down in relation to the handle bars. Is that normal, is everyone's clutch lever like that?

thanks in advance for your help, and sorry if this has been asked before.

Do you mean it wobbles up and down in the perch?
If so the through bolt could be worn or if it has a bush where the bolt goes through that could be worn. Or they both could be worn :)

Looking at pictures it doesn't look like these ones have a bush in them, i doubt it'll be the bolt that'sworn, but more than likely the actual lever.
On my last bike you could tap the bush out and put it back in upside down and double the life of it.

They're only a few quid, i'd start with a new lever first.
More people are born because of alcohol than will ever die from it.
