Same here!!
Last time I went, about 5 years ago, it was at the beginning of November.
Have they dragged the date forward recently?

Plus, I read MCN every week and the "week ahead" piece in last week's edition had no mention of it!!
WTF is that all about??

Yeah I think too many rainy days in the past, although the rain does help with the many over heating bikes crawling up the hills. Apart from not being able to breathe its quite nice to see all the bikes and the traffic chaos they cause

Saw a bike which seemed to have its coolant overflow positioned directly over the rear brake calliper and had fluid pissing all over it, I think it was a ninja.

I've probably past you at some point then as I cross it quite often on my rides seeings I'm from south Bristol. Love the straight stretch of road just after the bridge heading south, it's the only place close I feel comfortable opening the bike up to its max. Got over 165 on the speedo along there :eek

M48 is safer for exploring the outer limits.

Yeah that's what I talking about, M48 between Aust and Awkley. Usually barely any traffic if any on that stretch and it's long enough to hold it top speed a quite a while. Wye valley is a nice little route too from Chepstow to Monmouth, safe to have a bit of fun between the villages as there aren't really any side roads or farm gates along it
