Finally got the pictures sent out to me, quality very good and they fit perfectly.

I would say that with the group buy discount, if you are prepared to wait up to 3 months (made to order), they are well worth it.

Have you tried any of the BMW owners forums, especially the Yank ones? I have a Nissan Armada and I get the airbag light coming on every few months (common problem with this car, caused by a loose connection). On the owners site it tells you how to manually reset the light (turn the ignition key on and off 5 times with a 5 second delay between each on and off), most cars have a manual reset for most computer code problems you just need to find them on the net.

I also have an OBD11 cable that plugs into my iPad with goLINK software that also reads and clears codes.

I have had Arais for about 15 years or so and have always worn earplugs or headphones but they can still be a bit noisy. This summer I bought a REVUU (with the rear view mirror in it), it more comfortable and much quieter than my Arai and the vents seems to work better too. I found the buffeting much less (helping the lower noise?) and the rear view mirror is an excellent idea (takes 500-600 miles to get used too).

Downsides are, its a bit heavier than my Arai (about 300 grams), the shell is a bit bigger so can now only fit the one helmet in the top box and the lining is a little light in colour so shows dirt easier. That said it comes out easily for washing.

I got mine from Shineybikesyndome (Nooj on here), well worth a punt.

Well my fairing panels were supposed to have been sent to me on Tuesday morning (25th), as yet nothing has arrived  :\ , I ordered them on the 11th of Aug.

On the plus side I have received the 20% discount they offered for late delivery.

WOMEN -

Two female friends are catching up:
- So, how was your evening last night?
- A disaster! After getting home, my dear beloved hubby wolfed down in 4
minutes the dinner that took me all afternoon to prepare, "granted" me 3 minutes of passionate love before rolling over and falling asleep 2 minutes later.
And you?
- Oh, mine was incredible. My hubby was waiting for me to get back home from work.. He took me out for a very romantic dinner. We then walked back home, under an amazing starry sky, along the canal, for a good two hours. Once home, he lit up all the candles we had and our foreplay lasted for an hour. We then made love for another hour and then we chatted until late. It was wonderfull...

MEN -
Meanwhile, at the pub, the husbands are "networking"...:
- So, how was your evening last night?
- Great! When I came home, the food was ready. I ate, we shagged and I fell asleep. You?
- A nightmare! I came home earlier to fix the kitchen shelf. When I
switched on the power drill, the fuse went out. The whole house went into darkness.
Couldn't find the bloody fusebox, so when my better half arrived, I took her out.
It was the only thing to do to avoid getting an earfull... Dinner was so expensive that I couldn't afford the taxi back home, so we had to walk home. Once there, the house was still in the dark, obviously, so I had to light all these f * cking candles to avoid knocking everything down. I was so wound up that it took me an hour to get a hard on, and another one to come. In the end, I was so p!ssed off that it took me ages to fall asleep, while she kept yapping on and on about everything and nothing...

I have an Akrapovic full race on my Gen 1, due to its size and volume it is not too noisy and passes the MOT each year easily. Above 6000 rpm it gets louder (EXUP open) but still not too noisy. I love the look of the small cans like MIVV, but they are a bit restrictive with the baffles in or way too noisy with them out.

Mid Sixties MK1 1600 Cortina estate, bought as a non runner for 40 quid in 1978. Cam timing was 180 degrees out (guy had had a go at rebuilding engine) and both halves of the carb needed lapping flat so they would seal together. Wrote it off when the steering broke and it turned right into front garden wall when I used the brakes, happy days.

Spent 45 quid on a late sixties 1700 V4 Ford Corsair, which I sold for 150 about two years later.

The world is your oyster as far as tuning goes, I think Devilsyam had one making about 170bhp.

TTs do a big bore kit (1050 IIRC), you can get the head gas flowed and skimmed, re-profiled or new cams, slotted cam wheels, flat side carbs, Nos etc etc.

A lightly tuned engine (135-140 bhp) can tie the standard chassis in knots if used really hard.

I would say upgrading your suspension and brakes (maybe some carbon wheels) plus the usual Ivans / pipe set up is the best compromise for road use, and thats why so many on the forum have similar setups.
