The only other colours on my black bike are white decals or silver metalwork, i think coloured hoses would be overkill.
Different story if you have any other coloured bike though!

@dude what is the exact model number of your bike, because FZS400 doesn't appear to exist, apart from an outside lamp of the same code?

Going by the part numbers they're the same but the 600 has a few extra hoses at the front of the engine. You can check out these numbers from the parts manuals in the download section if you want.

The main coolant hoses are;

                              Fazer 600                                          Fazer 400

Hose 1                  4YR-12576-00-00                               4YR-12576-00-00
Hose 2                  4YR-12577-00-00                               4YR-12577-00-00
Hose 3                  4YR-12578-00-00                               4YR-12578-00-00
Hose 4                  4YR-12579-00-00                               4YR-12579-00-00
Hose 5                  5DM-12588-00-00                              4YR-12588-00-00
Hose 6                  4YR-12589-00-00                               4YR-12589-00-00

The hoses going to the carb are; (don't think we'd need them)

Hose 1                  5DM-1243A-00-00                               4YR-1243A-00-00
Hose 2                  5DM-1243E-00-00                               4YR-1243E-00-00

The extra hoses that the 600 has are;

Hose 6                  5DM-12589-00-00
Hose 7                  5DM-12551-00-00
Hose 8                  5DM-12552-00-00

@darrsi the model code for the 400 is 4YR that's why a lot of the 600 part numbers start with 4YR instead of 5DM

Wow, that's great thanks! Very helpful information there  :)

Would you still be interested in a kit? It will have a few extra bits of hose though... They won't make up half a kit I suspect...

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Obviously price pending, the more hoses the better for me

If im renewing them then it will be good peace of mind that they are all done for that particular area, visible or not but ill just go with what the majority reckon as the price could jump up.

I can always source the rest from official parts folks.

Yes, it would be good in some ways to get them all done but to try and keep costs down and because deadeye doesn't have those two hoses for under the tank then we thought it would be ok to leave them out.

We can see how much the kit will cost and if it's reasonable then we can always sourse the other two pipes for them to add to the kit too. the origional pricing will give us a good idea of what to expect though.  :D

Unless anyone else wants to donate the two pipes that go under the tank??  ;)

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

I just remembered I got a thermostat off ebay a while back and I think it came with the two hoses. I'll have a look.

I have them :) I'll send them on to you Chris ;)

Hey Deadeye,
you could do or his dudeness could send his to you and then you send them all to sfs? would save them coming all the way to shetland just to go all the way south again. If you put a returns address in with them then they'll send them back to you when they're done. I'm happy to chip in on the postage costs for you guys if you like.

Ok I'll do that then if you PM me your address I'll send them on tomorrow. The two I have are only short ones so they shouldn't add to the package that much. If it goes ahead and the new hoses are made I reckon DeadEye should get a discount on the price of the new ones for sending originals. What do ye think?

Hey, That's ace guys. You're heros!  :D

Yes, i'm happy with you 2 both getting a discount for helping get the origional set together. We can see what the cost is for the kits and tooling cost first and then decide if we decide to get them made, (If not i'm happy to send you guys some beer money for your help).  8)

Sounds good so far

Since i'm doing bugger all but on the list for original order then yep i would agree to the guys doing the organising get a decent discount with their saving spread out amongst the others.

If people wanna be skin flints about it then they can jus wait til this blows over before ordering but then again who knows it could be a one time offer.plus if nobody originally did it then we'd all be screwed.

So thanks.

Yes, I have no idea how much the origional order (of 10 kits minimum) will cost but I imagine that after the origional kits are made then they will charge more for any additional kits, unless we did another bulk order sometime in the future. The only thing being that those of us paying for the origional kits will be spreading the tooling cost between us too. Glad this is all moving along quickly though  8)  Good work team

When we get the original costs then I'll pass them on back here and i'm sure we could haggle a bit if they're a bit on the high side  :D

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.
