Just Testing to see if I can load some pictures
 

Its that time of year again when the bike gets its winter servicing, some performance add ons and cleaned up and put away until the spring (need to get a winter hack). With the bike shops getting a bit short of work this time of year its time to get some good prices.
Nitron NTR Sport Shock ordered.....hoping to see a vast improvement in handling
Booked in for Valve Clearance and Full Service.....24k on the clock now, taking no chances
Wheels getting powder coated gloss black and possibly the side radiator guards......fed up with the polished rims and hours of autosol
 
This year I have already had three new tyres, been ivanised, new chain and sprockets (front sprocket down a tooth), new air filter and new battery.....if the missus found out how much I spend she may want a wee service too 
 
 
 
 

My Gen 1 is now 8 years old, done 24k and scheduled to have the 'big' service with valves clearance done. I am also thinking about getting a Nitron Shock as the old one is now probably needing replaced sooner rather than later.
I am not sure which model of Shock will suit me best, I am 6'3" about 16st and my style of riding is pretty agressive throughout and only dry weather blast outs on the weekends with the odd longer trip thrown in. I have a jack up kit fitted, ivanised, slip on Mercury race exhaust, wide renthal 773 bars and down to a 15 tooth front sprocket.
Is there any advice on what model of Nitron shock I should be looking at that suits my biking style that will give me the best performance.

I'm sure there a few out there that have changed the gearing and dropped down a tooth on the front sprocket. Am I right in thinking that the standard is 16 and dropping down will make a significant difference to acceleration, I am aware that the top end speed will be compromised but not sure of how much.....any replies on this subject will be very much appreciated.

I am looking to improve the wind resistance for my Gen1 as the standard screen is hopeless when hitting ton plus (allegedly). I saw the thread on Givi touring screens and the picture of the additional attachment screen which looks poor and takes the looks away in my opinion. I have seen a picture of the MRA double bubble which says its 30mm taller and looks the business, has anyone tried these or has any other recomendations.....I don't like the extremely tall screens as it takes the sports bike looks away and I don't do any touring.

I am thinking about installing an Ivans Jet Kit....anyone got any info on these
