New shock arrived from Hagon, can't wait to fit it and take it for a run.

Used them quite a few times and they've been great. Bought helmet and jacket from them as well other little stuff. Always been good prices and quick delivery.  8)

as in the comment above it's better if you can try stuff on but they've never been a problem when exchanging stuff for a different size. I knew the right size helmet to get but my jacket needed to be changed for a different size and they were fine about it. I live on an island and the bike shop here has very limited stock so much easier to buy online.

Ordered a custom Hagon shock with proper weighted spring for me, looking forward to seeing how it changes how the bike handles and feels as I'm way to heavy for the standard shock plus the shock is quite old now and done about 34k.

Going to strip and rebuild the front forks with new seals, bushes and 15w oil to help the front a bit too.

Going to do more miles this year, only done 600 last year and about 800 the year before that...

Where are they cracking at?

Maybe just go easier on them when tightening them if it's cracking around the bolt holes, or you can use a little rubber washer on either side to protect the plastic from the bolt.

Yeah, I bought a second hand good condition one and had it powder coated to protect it. My old one was starting to crack where the centre stand joined to one of the legs and it was definitely harder to get it on to the stand.

Something to be careful of is the bracing bar between the legs of the stand can rust/fracture and if it is getting weak it can flex too much and make it difficult to get it on the stand.

However, I agree with ruby, best to take it off, lube it up with a paste kind of grease rather than watery oil that will wash out. Would also be a good opportunity to check it over for any weak points.

No worries Jules-C  8)

Sorry I can't be more help.

I did try and set up another group buy not long after the original one. Thread for that is here: http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,12648.msg142584.html#msg142584

You might be able to pm the folk that were interested in that one to see if they are still interested, might help get the numbers up a bit. I tried to get folk from other websites to join up too but got no interest from other forums so wouldn't waste your time, this is by far the most active forum, the others very rarely got replies.

I posted the link to the original group buy thread in reply number 5 of this thread. All the info from the original group buy is in there.

I was the one who set up the group buy and have checked all my emails with sfs and we weren't given any specific reference number for the kits. Be very careful not to get the kits for the FZ6 as it is a completely different engine and set up.

Oh right...

No idea, I've not needed to speak to them since the end of the group buy a few years ago so not sure.

Samco might be your best bet then  :)

I don't want to put anyone off the idea but it took a lot of planning and time to organise the group buy and that was just for 11 of us so finding 25 folk who would be wanting to, and willing to pay for, the kits might be quite a task.

Hey,

Here is the thread about the group buy we did a few years ago - http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,6189.0.html

SFS performance said they would do another run of hoses if we got 10 people, they already have the tooling to make the hoses to the right shape so would probably be easier to get them to do it rather than samco.

All the best.

I've got a standard 600 exhaust in good condition in the shed if you need it. I'll not be putting it back on as I do love the sound of my blueflame can.

PM if you're interested.

Think the kits ended up being £150ish each...

And they wanted at least another order of ten kits before they would make more.

Sorry to hear about your crash, hope you heal up soon!

I'm no expert but I guess that as long as the engine cut out before it lost the oil then the internals should be ok. I guess other things to consider are engine mounts, twisted frame etc

Hope it's fixable, best to get it checked out by a professional before diving into the repairs.

I was pretty tempted by the S20 but felt it was maybe on the sportier side for the kind of riding I do... Having said that I might try them next. It's quite rare that I ride in anything other than nice weather and sunday blasts so will see what's available when I replace the T30.

I've never been brave enough to mix and match! haha!

I honestly picked the T30 because I preferred the look of the tread pattern but also the reviews it was getting.

I've got a set of Bridgestone T30 Evo's on just now and they're really nice. I prefer them to the Bridgestone 021's I had on before.

Hi all,

It was me that organised the group buy of silicone hoses a few years ago from sfs performance. They would only do it if we ordered ten or more kits. We had 11 kits made but then they wouldn't make any more unless we put in another order of ten or more. I've tried a couple of times to do another group buy but not had enough interest.

No other company makes a full silicone set for the fzs600 98 - 03. Be very careful if you find a set listed on ebay etc as there are a few companies that make a kit for the later FZ6 but they are completely different engines.

All the best,

Chris

I like my can with the baffle in anyway and never had any complaints  :)

Blueflame are a good option, take the baffle out if you want loud and put it in for a lot louder than standard but not too loud to annoy the neighbours  :D
