Hi guys got myself a one of the pzracing gear indicators, been trying all night to get it sorted 'takes 20 mins' found the speed sensor (the white triangle one) but can't for te life of me find the crank postion connector? Any ideas where it is on a mk 1 fazer?

Anyone fitted one? Busting to get it sorted,

They are the the version 1's aswell in the discounted section (didn't realise this till after ordering them) but they are very bright an the version 2's would be blinding,

The previous owner had heated grips fitted so I tapped off the live from them but I'm sure they come off the front brake light switch,

So as soon as the ignition is on the lights are on, I wanted to wire them so they come on after the engine starts but as they only draw a few watts I wasn't that bothered,

Just fitted a pair of bullets! Very bright and much brighter than in the pics, have not taken the bike out to see how the do in the daylight but hoping they would catch other motorists eyes...

Going to get some of these and have a play about with them:

http://www.bikevis.com/motorcycle-led-running-lights.html

Seem small and affective either mount them either side below the indicators or where the indicators are and get a set of mirrors with the indicators in them,

Not so much about the movement I guess just general vibration, I'm sure its fine as the standard pipe was touching on mine but did have signs of wear but then again what rubber wouldn't after 13 years of use!

Cheers Chris,

I ment to ask is anyone else hose down on the left abit tight to the engine case? The one with the protective cover? Just thinking after some time of rubbing it might wear through?

Blue looks well but the red and gold has to be the winningest colour combo so far ;)

Has to be the quote of the thread! Ha cheers mate,

I was tempted by the blue, but works well with the blue and stands out with the silver,

Wen't for a spin down the mumbles yesterday and got back an the hoses were stinking! Lol going to be fun keeping them clean!

I tried a Honda SLR650 before buying my fazer as I wanted a big thumper was abit of fun very 'torq'y I'm still tempted to get one as a 2nd bike and stick nobbly tyres on and take it green laneing, but after some time at 70 I'd imagine my hands would turn white from the vibrations,

Out of your choices I'd go for the XT

Got mine finished today! Also changed the gold wheel tape to red to try and get a theme going, completely gutted though as my old man managed to snap the lower left pipe off the radiator! Tried using evo-stik liquid metal an thought if saved it but after ten minutes of running it it popped back off! Any ideas? Don't really want the extra expense of a new rad!

Fazer Spares have a rad for £90....problem is, they have a notice up saying that they are not open until 13th April for some reason.

In the meantime I chance using JB Weld for metal. It's one of the best bonding agents out there. But it needs about 6 hours to bond, so I would recommend that you leave it bond overnight.

Cheers think I will try and get some jb weld and leave it for a day or so, I have managed to find a slightly bent one for a tenner! So I'm going to pick that up today and use it as a temp untill I can get my hands on a decent one as not sure if I'd want to rely on a bonded joint when blitzing about on it,

Cheers for the jb weld idea

Looks like your radiator has been repaired in the past FZSCai. You might get someone to braze or silver solder it again but you'd probably be better off with a new one or a good used one.

That was my fix, but it only had about 4 hours (it was rock solid) to set so might give it another go but leave it all weekend but I don't know if I'd like to rely on it, looks like I will have to bite the bullet and buy a new one

Cheers for the praise! The pictures don't do the hoses justice must more vibrant in person, here's some more pics and a quick video plus a pic of the damage if anyone has any ideas?

Also had a feeling 1 pipe was missing (other side of oil filter) also wondered why there's one slim carb pipe when there's two standard pipes on the carbs? No real biggy as there not that noticeable but wouldn't mind them if they were available?
