Hi all, i'm in need of the rubber cover that goes over the left hand side ignition coil, i'm getting water ingress and she's running like a three legged donkey on stilletoes in the rain, please help me!
-
Would it be possible to coat your existing cover with some silicone sealant and fill in any gaps while you get a new cover?
-
Thank you for your suggestion, the problem is when i bought the bike the previous owner had customised it heavily & in doing so had removed ALL the bikes protective rubbers, i am slowly replacing them one by one, but the main one i need is the ignition coil cover.
-
do you mean the crap flap that rests on the cam cover?
-
Not that one unfortunately, it sits over the ignition coil on the left hand side, it's a rubber cover to stop side spray.
It's part no* 4 on this schematic
-
Ah. In that case I think you will need to make something yourself until you can get one.
-
You read my mind, i've just ordered some Sugru (moldable glue) to fashion a replacement.
I'll let you know how i get on?
But if some kindly Foccer happens across an original one at some point i'd snap it up!
