I've found you are better off using a thinner oil for tapping (I'm a toolmaker), greases just trap the swarf and mangle the threads of you don't remove and clean them after every few turns. Get a cutting oil for the job
That's why I used grease to catch most of the swarf, but I take your point.

Hi Cellarman, From the info I've gained from other posters, I've made a note that someone has measured the rise (measurement C) of the stock bars as between 40 to 50 mm, whereas the 755's would be 85mm. Others have pointed out the fact that in choosing higher than stock bars, could present a problem regarding cable lengths etc.The 755 appears to also be referred to as Road Medium. Hope this helps.
Thanks for that, think I will give them a try after all they aren't that expensive Cheers Tim

Hi Folks,
Newbie here, late to join Foc-u (got my Fazer 3 years ago) a nice example with 12000 miles on it, now has 25000. I intend to do some upgrades (limited budget) thinking I should start with the rear shock and maybe front springs. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks Jim
Luke (Devilsyam) is your man for rear shock see HERE

Done mine over Christmas piece of cake, got my tap here as I didn't have a tapered one. Just take your time & use plenty of lube (grease) on the tap, do the two inner pipes 1st as they they are easier the outer two are a bit harder to get to & you need to use a spanner on the tap Good luck

Forgive my ignorance but are the 755's slightly higher than the standard bars? as I could do with mine being a little higher (read old git) many thanks Tim

Tried several different ones, by far the best is the Vango omega 250, it's light packs away quiet small fits in my E60 panniers, pitches in about 15mins has a decent size porch area to stash all your gear & most importantly has never leaked & trust me it's been tested
