Title: Rocker cover gasket

Hello Foccers


Im replacing the rocker cover after valve check they are all good after 50000 miles but i cant getvthe gasket to stay in the groove when i go to put it back on. Any tricks to get it to stay in the groove mates?

FZ6 or FZS600??? I did my FZ6 S2 late last year, the tiniest blob of superglue in a few places should do it, although I never had a problem with mine. If its the FZ6, double check to make sure if you need to cut out the extra bits from the gasket or not

Are you reusing the old gasket?

I thought it should be replaced...

Ordinary Grease in the groove and on the gasket. Helps sealing and any excess can be rubbed off on the outside or dissolves in the if oil on the inside.

Iam sure it's a re-useable rubber one....like a O ring but bigger and  different shape  :lol

In the original post "it" could be read either as being the gasket being put back on or the rocker cover being put back on...
