Scot's raiding party for the Spring Meet
« on: 16 May 2012, 12:09:59 am »
I see Russ mentioned how we were going to get down to the Dales in the Scotlandshire thread, but figured it deserved it's own wee thread.

I'm up for the bimble down to Scotch Corner, meeting the Fluffy Dooks and heading on down with them.
Russ, if that's the plan where you want to meet up?
I'm thinking motorway down to you, then cross country as much as we can to the meet.
I'll stick a link to here on the book of Face too, just so every bugger can see what's afoot.

:D

Hi pal, I can meet up anywhere that suits and think Neilly is the same. The only person I could not contact was the boy Dougie if he is going for the Friday/Saturday.
If you fancy avoiding motorway why not come down the Kilmarnock / Dumfries way (A76) if time is not an issue. This way I'm sure would be fine for Raymy and the Gringo's, although Alan not sure what his plans are yet. Once we have joined up we can make our way down to Tow Law and pick up Fluff's and Dook's and maybe the Prudhoe Foccers and anyone else for that matter can join in.

Meeting in Moffat or Lockerbie is just as easy.

Found out today that I've got a markers meeting in Stirling on teh Friday, so I'll not be leaving there until the back of four at earliest.
I'll probably just blat down the motorway from there, all goes to plan I'll be drinking before 10.

Neely the balloo spiderman, have you worked out which road it was you and Davy took in the Van ? Was it the A68 or the A697 or none of the above  :)
The A68 would take us straight to Fluff and Dooks where the Prudhoe foccers could join us too if they want. We could meet at Bigger and take it from there. Raymy seems easy going on which route we take as am I. I don't know if the boy Dougie is going and what his plans for going down are, maybe Andy can find out ?
Would be nice to travel down in a group so if there are any thoughts from ANY Scots on other routes/plans please fire them up and let's get sorted  :)

Roll on Friday

Slag. if you aren't going til that time I might just come down with you then. that would give me time to sort things during day and a trip like that would ne better in tandem.

What days are you folks coming back? I might be heading up north to see a mate but wondering when to coincide with his days off work

Right, think my plan is to meet Raymy at Bothwell just after five, mibbes picking up Dougie after 6ish then bimbling on down.
In saying that I've still received my scripts from them to mark, so if they don't arrive I'm focced if I'll be going.

Cheers Davy, thats the road we are taking pal. Shame you can't make it this year. Hopefully Andy and co will join us for the journey if he has no marking to do, meeting Dook's and Fluff about 2-30, 3ish for the rest of the journey  :)
