B&B's in North wales
« on: 06 March 2012, 12:26:08 pm »
Hi guys/gals,

I'm planning a ride with me mates to North Wales on 21st April. We did something similar last year and had a fantastic time and stayed in the perfect B&B called Hope Mountain B&B. As well as being a great B&B they had a secure lockup for our bikes....perfect!

Unfortunately though, the only weekend where we're all free happens to land on a weekend where that great B&B is fully booked!  :'(

So, can you lovely folk recommend any biker friendly B&B's up that way that will be suitable for 5 blokes with 5 bikes???

Much appreciated
Brace

Would have replied earlierm but could not remember the name of the place

You'd have thought they would have made it simple for Bikers looking for a retreat to remember!

Perhaps a little too South for you but very friendly.

Cheers Ghoti. I tried them but in high season they have a minimum of 2 nights stay and we only need 1 night.

Add to that, they were fully booked lol.....all sorted now anyway and happy with where we booked  :D

Someone from this site recommended it last year and it was perfect. Jo & Rob were great and taxied us to the pub (think the landlord was called Paul?, not you was it?)....good pint of Old Rev James there anyway. Rooms were great, brekkie great, secure lockup for the bike and fair rates for the rooms....shame it was fully booked this time.

Ahh yes Glyn, it was you indeed.

Perhaps you could meet us at the Ponderosa cafe and join us for a little ride on the Sunday if you fancy?

sounds like a good find. I have stayed twice at bikers retreat and highly rate the place. Admittedly they do prefer a weekend booking rather than an odd day, but I bet they would do something if they had room. They do try to offer weekends away as part of a biking package , with guided runs etc. Its good quality accomodation for £45 a nite B & B. Their dinners are good too, and they will ferry you down to town in dolgellau for a curry!
