Few areas of my frame need attention, anyone found a good match to the original paint@?

How long did you store it, and have you put fresh fuel in since storing?
been stored from December - Feb i have had it out a few times and and around 3 £15 fill ups since then.

FZS600 Fazer / Fazer not running properly
« on: 24 April 2013, 01:06:55 pm »
After winter storage my fazer doesnt seem to be running properly.

at low range going up hills etc when i lay the power on it coughs and splutters with a backfire.

i'm hoping a carb balance and clean will resolve the issue but i'm thinking it may be an electrical fault as my shed had a leak in it.

the bike idle fine and doesnt appear to jump too much.
i dont believe its had its carbs balanced in a few years and since then i've had new downpipes, new moto gp zorst and a k&n.

I didnt start the bike for a few weeks and when i did fire it i heard the fuel pump pumping for what seemed like an age would this knock the carbs out?

If you were aquaplaning, you wouldn't have been going round the slight left curve of the road.

Accept you focced up, stop trying to blame other things.

I WAS aquaplaning, I barley touched the front brake. I was riding not you. Now if you don't mind Foc off!

no need to be a dick, you post videos of crashing your bound to get critised.

Take the comments on board and learn from them! Alot of riders on here have been on the road alot longer than you and show some respect.

Well after five years and five winters 4 bikes  and 85k miles later i now own a car  :rolleyes

Strange as i'm more paranoid about crashing the car in this weather and i felt safer on the bike  :eek

So i'm now in the fair weather bikers club  :D my fazer 03 will be getting a full strip down soon.

Your vids are pretty shocking mate, doing 60mph in built up conditions in the wet your asking to become a cropper.

looks to me you paniced and grabbed the anchors.

learn from it, your quite lucky i know a few mates of mine have had offs below 60mph and died.

take care and ride safe.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Restricted 0-60 time??
« on: 09 December 2012, 11:07:51 am »
Seems the fazer looses alot of top end restricted, change at the red line  8)

Also risky attemtping 0-60 in those road condition, very easy to spin the back up.

Nah, he is a riding god - who obviously hasn't fully come to terms with what karma is... hope he doesn't find out anytime soon!

i've had two offs, happens to the best of us, but dropping it on a corner like that to me is something you'd expect from a learner on their CBT.

Remember to plan ahead before a maneuver and you shouldnt have problems.

No offense, but thats seriously bad riding. Your the first person i know to drop it in a situation like that...Could of easilly been avoided with your left leg.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: What's it worth?
« on: 15 August 2012, 12:39:46 pm »
it'd say around £700-800 with it needing new forks would be reasonable.

You may struggle to sell as 60k miles will put alot of people off.

A guy who tried to buy mine said well it is high mileage dumbfounded i said your joking? 23k miles is high for a 10 year old bike?

On the upside... i'd imagine you'd shift no problem with the mods.... Give the engine a quick paint mind near the downpipes you'll be right as rain.
