Cannot do an exhaustive list so these are just what I'm looking at.

had avon storm 2, just switched to pr2s...a bit more expensive but tales of longer life tempted me. Only problem to report was the shoulder of the tyre on the storms seemed a little wider and close to the hugger..

I will be getting same old rubbish with the new T30 (when funds allow) as I have had Mich's and had more problems than enjoyment. I don't know the others to compare.

I've had Mez 6's which were ok,

Pilot Road 2's they were good but had 4 punctures so not sure of mileage
as I kept replacing 'em.

Just finished Storm 2's  10K miles and square rear and front on the markers

I think they're as good as each other in the dry, it's all about wet riding for me.

I got 10k out of my rear PR2 before I had to replace it due to a puncture :(  Had loads of tread left.
 
Got a Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier on the back now but only done a couple of k on it.  Seems nice and grippy though :)

I've had 3 sets of PR2s. Great tyre IMO. I get about 7k out of a rear before it becomes illegal. The front would do more but I change tyres in pairs. Great wet and dry grip. Only had 1 puncture,  just before they were going to be changed.

I did a good bit of research before buying the Pilot Road 3's I have on it now. Only done less than 500 miles in the 2 weeks I have them on it but they are very grippy in wet and dry.

I got 10k commuting out of my PR2s before i replaced them, brilliant tyres and a big step up from bt21s

I preferred Bridgestone on my Fazer when I had it as performance to price ratio was excellent.

I know these tyres are love/hate rubber, but.......
 As my fazer is simply a commuter only, I use maxxis Supermax tyres. Cheap as you like, and last pretty well right down to the twi.
You can get a pair almost for the price of a top brand rear.

I've gotta admit, I don't have a problem with grip like some people have had, and every set (5 x pairs) have been to he edge many times. Must be just the way I ride ::)

PR3's are winning (pending prices)

Running pr3 right now and on the whole I don't think they are any better than the pr2. That said the pr2 was a cracking tyre that suited me very well. If when I next replace I can find some pr2 cheaper than the 3 then I will go 2.

Just did 116 mile round brands hatch and the pr3 gripped well though I am far from a fast rider. Pegs down with no slide untill full throttle applied, even then it was slight.

Bobble up nice but not to keen once they got cold again and the marbles stick to the rubber again giving an odd feel for a while.

Ghostbiker, let me know if you have any perishing issues after your track day. Did you drop your pressures at all ? This is what mine looked like after 4K, 10 months and two 20 mins sessions at Brands.  :eek

3,925 these were Bridgestone BT 020 GG  front tyre was changed at 9,486.   8,514.  7,251 but were still legal.

I'm now on Maxxis supermax diamond, done 2,849 so far, my mate says I'm riding faster (on the twisties) and geting farther over.

I had Avons on my Blade in the late 90's and were awesome in the dry but spun up in the wet and were bald in about a 1000 miles. I did ride like Rossi IMHO then but have used Bridgestones for the last 14 years and they have got better with every set, well I think I had BT 21 tyres which were crap. But the 023's are awesome. My rear has 8000 on it and is only starting to square with loads of fast motorway stuff. I'll be changing soon to some more 023's or whatever the latest number is?

I've gone for Roadsmart 2's, being fitted Saturday.

I'll be doing the rear linkage bearing at the same time so should feel great after.

I have  just replaced  the BT021 with the BT023 on the front , the difference is amazing, it's like riding a different bike .

Had 2 sets of PR 2s on my Hornet 600 each set went well past 10k miles, a brilliant tyre, good handling in the wet or the dry and wear even resisting flat spotting unlike Bridgestones which tend to far too easy. PR 2 s best tyre imo for years .......

I'm currently running Maxxis Supermaxx, and I can't wait till they're worn enough to change. The wear is pretty good, and grip is reasonably consistent (although I do find the rear skittish at high bank angles), but all in all, it feels too sluggish. I'm tempted to splash out and put Pirelli Diablo Rossos on next time if funds allow, as I reckon they'll make the bike feel sportier. Too much of the "touring" from the Maxxis Sport Touring tyre for my taste.

I was on an IAM Skills Day at Thruxton on Monday and you could *see* the effect of the two-compound Bridgestone 023 where the central (hard) section looked normal, but the outer (soft and sticky) sections were showing clear signs of being well used :)

I think part of what I saw might actually have been the sticky compound picking up rubber shed from other tyres, but I didn't think to take a pic of it.

Just done the first commute on Dunlop Roadsmart 2's

One of the first tyres I feel instantly at ease with. I got the usual change from
worn and squared off to round but nothing weird.
Even did the first 12 miles to work in the rain and no worries.

So far so good.
