SPARE PLACES!!!
« Reply #80 on: 18 April 2014, 08:16:44 am »
Several people have recently dropped out  (total deposits received £5!)  :\ :z

If these places cannot be filled then everyone else has to pay more!

I will be shortly embarking on my usual last minute recruitment drive but if you can help by 'bringing a friend' please do

Unfortunately this scenario is just part of the fun to be had in organising these events - ever wondered why this is the only FOC-U still going?

I'm still umming and ahing due to my finances. It's a long way for me on a tight budget. I want to go, but have to see nearer the date how much cash I have.

It's not about how much cash you have the day before, ya big jessy! Pay up front, covers food and beer (I think, please correct me sharpish if I'm wrong Moff! (like you wouldn't!)).

Then your weekend is dirt cheap, only real expense is petrol and some chips at lunchtime.

Might actually show my face this year (sorry Moff, I probably just ruined your chances of filling the spaces :rollin) , flying visit though as it's a friends birthday, we're staying along the road in dent...

You don't even need chips at lunchtime due to the portions of breakfast and dinner you get.
£75 now, and fuel costs then, that's all you need!

TBH, It's the fuel that's putting me off. I also need to have a long think, as I was hoping to get the swingarm done in May...

You've got a fzs 6 haven't you? You'd have to fill up exactly half the amount of times that I would!

Oh why is that?
If you do end up driving, my other half hasn't found a way to get there yet, so potentially can share costs if that might sway you

Because my bike is in bits in the back garden. Project all the way. And off the road until completion.

That could work, I could pick her up from Huntingdon, Ely, Cambridge or Peterborough station on the way (you're London way, right?).

Oi Adam I resemble that remark  :\  My snoring is the reason I camp - UN resolution from 2008.

Won't be the same this year without Aegis - will mean only one session on the Friday instead of the early English one and then the late Scottish one - might even be sober enough on Sunday to use the bike

The beverage of choice this year is kopstootje - the dutch for headbutt - involving a shot of genever  with a beer chaser. The genever is on its way from Amsterdam :smokin

For some unknown reason there has been a 40% decrease in sale of alcohol in the past three months in Scotland

We figure at this rate none of the Scottish lads will be drinking in Yorkshire
