The Fazer was nearly always broken, and as I am not very handy, lack a garage/sheltered place to learn how to repair, it was costing me loads just to keep it running.

This... is... BLASPHEMY!!! ARRR!

 :)

Thanks for objective comparison. Enjoy the new bike, hope you'll have more luck with this one.

Many thanks. If I had a garage (seldom of us do in London) then I would just keep the Fazer, and fix it myself with the help of some mates. The Fazer is a wonderful bike, and I miss it when it worked well.

The new one is also pretty damn fine though. Maybe I'll get an FZ1 Fazer as me next bike . . . . . .

cant see you ever having probs with that engine mate ?........check you levels regular, and keep clean oil in it...realy are good motor!!....only weak points i found where?.......brakes (bit weak!!)....and fast speed handling?...(bit wallowy on bendy,s).....also keep eye on shock linkage!!....prone to siezing up(usaly lack of maintenance)...ie grease!!!!!!!

600 handles really well, and is way more confidence inspiring than the Fazer I found.

The brakes do pale in comparison though. The Fazer, I think, will be unmatched on brakes for a while.
