For Sale & Wanted / FS: 320mm Front brake discs + adapters set
« on: 17 June 2021, 09:23:35 am »
Hello,
I have got for sale this set of 320mm front brake discs to fit FZS1000 01-05 and R1 98-02 (probably early R6 as well) front wheel.
The set includes caliper adapters which enable calipers to fit with 320mm discs. The adapters are brand new bought this year and are made by Italian company named ALTH.The Brembo front brake discs are in good condition, rivets however are bit loosen and I would recommend to change them.Thickness of the discs are about 4,6mm both.

I wanted to use them on my bike however decided to keep my standard discs which I bought last year, so they are brand new.
I am located in Slovakia in EU. The price is 200€ plus shipping.

I got 85tkms on my, and it runs perfectly.I know there is many guys with more then 100t or even 150t miles under the belt and still running great.
Hence, it is up to you, maybe the best is to go and check them out live.

thanks for the link, I will take a deep look into it.
However, it seems I will not be able to fit the wider wheel/tyre, as it is not mentioned in the technical documentation to the bike.

Hi both,
thanks for the topic, very good reading full of useful information.
I just want to add, I have fitted the full monty kit this winter, have been out on the bike few times, it runs great.I took the baffle out of my Akra end can, and it runs even better then before. I pulled the throttle out on 4th!! gear and I have been soooo surprised how it ran! Yes, I have 15 tooth front sprocket, but I have not experienced such power on 4th gear before!
I love this upgrade!
well, I had not a chance to check exup valve or spark plugs yet, but it runs very well.Btw, I have connected 2 and 2 intake manifolds together based on the Pat`s page. One of the reason was that I had not Carbtune for 4 cylinders yet, just 2 cylinder version (as I own gen1 Tuono).

So, good luck with yours too.

Hi,I am going to change the front master cylinder with radial one soon.
I have got two options in my mind, first a new one - Accossato or Brembo, or used Brembo from later R1 models as the second option.
It depends if I would find used one from R1 in good condition, or not.

« on: 09 February 2021, 08:23:42 am »
Hi all
I just ordered a chain and sprocket kit from " bike torque racing ", it came with the ognabene chain tool.
I fitted the kit yesterday and the tool works great, if any body is wondering about it, it works well.
I have used various chain rools before but this is a good and cheap bit of kit.
Hi Flooky, do you mean Ognibene?
if so, thanks for the recomendation, I did not find good chain tool, and if this is the good one, then I will be ordering it soon.

With some luck my jet kit will arive this thursday, not sure yet when i'm going to install it. I bought the bike with a broken waterpump and thats all repaired now but i only driven it once. I don't want to say it scared me but holy #@&* it's fast already.
I would like to get a dyno run before and after so i can see what the result is.
Yes, the R1 engine is definitely scary in this bike, mainly on the standard roads and in higher revs. But the FZS version is very usefull for daily usage and even more with Ivans jet kit.

It seems longer and longer now every time I post updates, but good news is on the horizon - for TFT Dash owners the Navigation update is really close to being released. Thought I would post a quick video on the first Road test I did earlier today with the Navigation update working in conjunction with my iPhone via Bluetooth. Android users can expect an app release soon after this is out (it won't be long). But for the latest update video, the link is below:

Any suggestions or queries, do let me know.
Great! It is looking very good now. So I am looking forward for Android version :-)

Stay safe
Danny

I know for sure that there's no jet kit installed. I've cleaned the carb's and everything looked original. I also live in the Netherlands and as far as i know there aint many ivanized fazers over here. I'm not affraid to work on the carb's or engine and i actually like to take things apart. I will order the mb kit and with all the instructions on this forum i guess it will all be alright. Thank's for the reactions and Mike, if i mess things up may i ask for your help?
then the MB kit is good for you. you will enjoy the work on it.The worst part of work is to get the carbs out and back in :-D

I like systems which are created for the particular bike. So I went genuine Akra can, which I found localy.

On the other hand, if I would not find the Akra before, I would probably buy Storm Oval with homologation from ebay. the Storm exhausts belong to Mivv brand, it is just cheaper option.
You can also find nice Arrow cans for this bike.

I dont know exactly, whether it is worth or no.For me it is, because I like to play with things, I like do modifications. It is not so much work to modify the airbox and the inlet rubbers, it just take time.

Both kits works with open air filter and slip on, just the MB kit requires mentioned modifications and it also works with full exhaust system including 4-1 headers.
So, I would say it is up to you what you want.

just for the information. The issue is solved currently. It seems that one of the jet was stacked open, I just tap on all the bowls.
I do not know whether this could lead to the issue too, but all draining screws on bottom of the bowls were not tighten, so the petrol was leaking through.Once I tighten the draining screws and tapped on the bowls, the petrol is not leaking.

Yes i replaced complete set.
In the mean time I have been adviced to tap onto the bowl while engine running. The needle might be stucked and is not closing.

hi all again,
I have fitted the carbs into the bike few days ago, they run ok, but.... But I have realized today, that the petrol is leaking from overflow pipes while engine is running. It does not leak while the engine is swiched off.
The float high is set up based on the Ivans recommendation to 14mm.
What could it be? Have you any idea please? I fitted new seal kit into the carbs. Could it be the reason, please?

Sounds expensive 180 just for the adapters. Here are the links for the front brake discs, wich includes the adapters

https://www.sbs.dk/products-1/brake-discs/6122
I am not sure whether we mean the same adapters. I means adapters which holds front brake calipers and move them bit further and allows to fit 320mm discs

SBS makes bigger brake disks and adapters fro them aswell, I just contacted my parts shop to order them for me
Ok good information.Honestly, I received a package with 320mm brembo discs yesterday. They are used but looking to be in good condition.I found out who makes the adapters in Italy, so ordered them from fy Alth. Waiting for them now. I payed 180€ shipped for the adapters.

Where have you found those adapter please?
Its made my SW-Moteck, I have checked and its still a current stock item, but your looking at January now - https://www.sw-motech-shop.co.uk/Mirror-extension-Profile-Black-Yamaha-FZ1-Fazer-08-

And looking at the spacer I should be able to apply Gnashersa suggestion to that also. Ive been told my the shop above that its polymide plastic, so even easer to elongate the holes with a round file.
thank you mate, your posts are really helpful!I am trying to find the best solution for my thou.
