I turned the big 60 last year its just a number, I ride as much as I can get out that is. I have a KTM 1290r superduke and my fazer 600 and enjoy riding either. The KTM is absolutely ballistic the power that foccer puts out especially when the is in. The fazer is no slouch as you all know just put a brand new pair of Michelin P3 and its a cracking ride. I met another guy out on a fazer 600 and he informed me BT023 are the way to go. After I have knackered the p3 up I will have a go at them. I prefer to ride in the dry if possible, when I was younger rode in any weather right throughout the year. I will admit to feeling the cold more as I turn the pages of life.

Yes gotta agree with you there I also have a KTM 1290r super duke as well as the Fzs2 600. I really don't mind when choosing either bike I.M.H.O and for the way I ride and where I go I have the best of both worlds.

I am no expert guys in any way, but as said the bike is in cracking condition. I agree £2000 is a lot of cash but looking at the price of new bikes every time you blink they go up in value.

I called at the Rocket Center Blackburn today and saw this bike it was or appears to be in excellent condition very shiny black in colour. It was a little cracker any one looking for one. You guys will have more idea about price than me but there always some movement when doing a deal. I haven't put this in sales because it has nothing at all to do with me just making it known on the forum.

What the Foc is going on in this world it makes me sick, defenceless innocent people out for a good time. Families who where affected by this cruel act will have to live with this for the rest of their lives.
Enough is enough forget Syria forget Afghanistan forget the Middle East it's time we shut our borders and redeploy the troops to seek out the enemy within our own community's my heart goes out to the families who have lost someone or have been injured at Manchester Arena

Good luck with your guzzy but 60 is not old in biking years. I was up at a place called Caton (well known biking spot) met a guy there 82 and his mate 83 both had Hayabussy. The 82 year old guy had just changed his bike as he wanted some a little slower and sat up, he bought a Fazer 1000. The 83 year old has just turned 113 thousand miles could have been 135k not sure on his Hayabussy. Both ride what can be described as spirited no slouches by any standard so at 60 you have plenty of time yet. Whatever bike you ride and I believe there is a make and bike for everyone as long as you enjoy just keep going

To the admins and moderators of this group; Can you please try to have a little more control over who you let in. There is a new member.... An older woman and she has been privately propositioning men! She sends naked pictures of herself along with close ups of her private parts. She is offering an iPhone 7 in exchange for sexual favours. I am especially upset at this last part because, as it turns out the phone wasn't even an iPhone 7....... It was a iPhone 6!!! And it obviously has a virus because it's ridiculously slow and on top of that, the power button sticks ! Morphy Seen on another forum

I am passing another significant birthday this year, but am wondering at what age would you consider giving up biking - or when does it become too difficult?
I am the big 60 (December just gone) last March I bought a KTM 1290 superduke and have also just recently bought the Fazer 600 and have just stuck 500 mile on the fazer in the last week and half. Give up riding never there is no re-run in life once today has gone you ain't getting it back to have another go. I have a lot of riding to do I do not want any regrets when I peg out regarding riding my bikes.

Hi to all, Has anyone drilled the under seat exhaust on there fazer 600? I have tried searching the forum but could find nothing probably putting in wrong search.
Met a guy out today he says it helps the bike run better and sounds a hell of a lot better. Steve thank you for any info much appreciated!

Yesterday was my third ride out on the Fazer since I bought it. The other two it pissed it down non stop and my mint bike got covered in shit and salt. But yesterday set off with wet damp conditions but the sun came out and dry roads what a difference. managed a decent ride out about 140 miles. We are not far off our glorious British summer (hopefully ). There are times during the winter when I think I wish I was in a warmer climate country. But when the sun comes out here I.M.H.O there is no where else I would rather be than riding around our roads. There is a fantastic friendly motorcycle fraternity throughout Britain. Your never far off a café or brew shop and someone for a natter. Roll on better weather and I hope all you guys managed a ride out. Steve

hl foccers one and all, im having trouble with my tps i believe it to be focced the bikel seems to be running ok, been looking online they all seem to be for the s sp n all bar just wondering if anyone knows where i can get a replacment and if it is still ok to ride.... fzs 600 fazer 03. noob here by the way regards mogs
I searched out an earlier thread and found this from member Unfazed might help hope it does, SteveFaulty Throttle position Sensors (TPS) on the early carburettor model Fazers. Over the years I have replaced 4 in total, one on a Fazer 400 and the 2 on the Fazer 600s. The latest being my own 600 when servicing it last weekend. I replaced them with second hand ones from breakers. The idle of my own was becoming more unstable in the last few weeks but was running ok and as it was due on Oil, Oil Filter Fuel Filter, plug change and balance the carburettors. After doing all of the above I went to set the TPS and could not set the Rev counter from 10000 back to 5000 without removing the screws of the TPS and moving it beyond the range of adjustments slots by almost 10mm. Out with the multi meter to check the TPS and found it was outside the ranges specified in the Service Manual by 1.290kohms. Since the TPS operates by varying the voltage levels being returned to the Ignitor unit (ECU) 1.290Kohm out of spec was giving completely the wrong voltage levels, which was telling the ignitor to adjust the timing to the wrong values. The first 3 faulty units I replaced were tested and were found to be open circuit with no reading between two of the three contacts and had the 3000 rev code on the rev counter, my own one however was different in that it gave a high resistance which does not show the 3000 rev fault code. I bought a second hand one from a breaker and while waiting for it to arrive I decided to do a little internet checking to determine what other bikes might use the same TPS since it is manufactured by Mikuni and here is what I found. The Mikuni TPS with A1 stamped on the side nearest the Carburettor. The same fitment of TPS come with A1, A2 or A3 stamped on them. I have tested the one with A2 stamped on it and the readings are the same as the A1, but unfortunately I have not been able to source an A3 one to test. Kawasaki and Suzuki also use exactly the same unit on some of their bikes. Here is the killer punch, a brand new one with a Yamaha OEM part number is around €230 (£190) the exact same one with the Kawasaki OEM part number is around €130 (£107) and the exact same one with a Suzuki OEM part number is around €80 (£66). Prices vary a little depending on where you shop The Fazer 600 part number is: 4SV-85885-00 and has been superseded by 4HD-85885-00 Kawasaki part number 21176-1083 and it can be A1, A2 or A3. This leads me to believe that they are newer versions of the A1 Suzuki part number 13550-13D60 and the following Suzuki models use this TPS and can be A1, A2 or A3. It was because the Idle was varying between 1000r to 1400 revs that I checked the carburettor balance and the TPS settings. The idle has improved and now stays around the 1250 mark. As I changed the plugs which had 30000 miles on them it is difficult to determine if the idle problem was due to worn plugs or faulty TPS since the carb balance was ok.

A possible to the insurance problem is to insure the person instead of the vehicle. That way you'd pay one single amount and can ride/drive whatever you like. There could be a teored system for coverage so for instance you could pay £200 a year to be covered for up to £10000 or £300 for £20000 etc etc At fault Accidents and penalty points could give you a Black Mark on your profile and instead of raising costs would simply make it harder to gain insurance from the cheaper companies.
That's not a bad idea I.M.H.O simply because you can only drive/ride one vehicle at a time. Which was my argument with the insurance company on a multi policy. That was another time when they were taking the piss. It really does make a mockery of everything though. Making a purchase of any kind is supposed to be a pleasurable experience. This is not so when getting annual insurance you can spend hours trying to sort. Whilst they do there best to wind you up with stupid over the top prices.
