you can go up by 10 its only the profile, wont make a huge difference to be honest, you will need to make sure it fits under the mudguard though, it may be tight.

doubt there would be enough room to fit them without modification as said above, the fairing is close enough, on full lock with my armored gloves my knuckles touch the fairing.

sounds like you have a defective brush, the first few clicks just moves it out of the way enough for it to make a full spin thus starting it.

Looking for some stickers for my tank, 98 fzs 600, does anyone have the dimentions for them? length and height or know where i can get the correct sized ones from in white.

i ordered some before only to find that 1" smaller is a massive difference in size and then i lost them :(

I do have one peice of advice ------  "gf is about 5ft 10 so its pretty cramped on the back"---------- leave her at home on the sofa

Tempting sometimes but then whos going in to pay for my fuel and getting the teas and coffees at bike meets, there is method to my madness!

Saw an old fzs 600 on facebook going cheap had a few issues but i went for it, handed over 600 sterling and even got a spare engine!

first things first adress known issues.

Brake caliper broken bleed nipple.
front fairing damage.
wrong colour tank
tatty in places.

good bits:
spare engine
fairings not wrecked
40,000 miles
near new chain + sprocket
few months tax + mot
seller even delivered it.

first task, stick old engine on ebay to make funds, sold for £50 quick sale.

task 2... brake caliper...

these are known to be shit and sieze up pretty quick so i got them off and took a look..

siezed wasn't the word for it!

complete rebuild was in order, was no real issue with the bleed nipple as they have 2 nipples on the rear and i will be looking for a fzr thou caliper anyway.

urghh

brakes now all done and fully working.. for now!

next task! fairing + tank!

£40 lighter the tanks gone to be resprayed
front fairing off and ready to be fixed

after many hours of trying to fix the ugly bloody thing i got there.. not perfect still needs sanding to a smooth finish then spraying..

next task is to adress the riding position maybe, got some renthals i wanted to try out but after loads of pondering i decided against the idea as they're just too wide.

3 weeks on:

tank has arrived!!!!!
no stickers but the ones id ordered where way too small and then i lost them so i will maybe put them on at a later date.

all fitted and ready to ride.
been sat for weeks and tank was bone dry, new fuel in tank turned the key twice to prime the pump and hit the starter button, instantly fired up and idled with no problems.

om nom nom

total cost of fixes above: £45
fuel £5
profit from spare engine £50
total cost: £0

To Do List:
new exhaust as this one is eww
hid headlights maybe?
respray rear plastic above tail light as its faded like mad.
repaint engine.
tank stickers.
radiator cover
new levers all round.
fazer thou rear caliper
general tidy up.

Maybe more tarting up.

Update:

rear plastic resprayed looks tons better, took rack off for now...

new bits arrived!

rear pillion pegs from a 2000 fazer, 45mm longer and 10mm further forwards...

gf is about 5ft 10 so its pretty cramped on the back, big improvement but not quite there yet, need atleast 20mm-30mm extra seat padding or a longer drop on pegs, the 2000+ seat has an extra 16mm of padding but its not really worth the cost for so little.

update:

fed up with wank headlights so took the cover off the dip beam light... fucktons of difference!!

After playing around with my headlight ive ordered a h1 osram bulb but the standard h1 thats in it is terrible! i have a light the size of a large dinner plate on the road infront of me, i was wondering if its a massive mot failure or if most people would just look past it and not care too much.

i will likely do the headlight mod for both bulbs too.

another issue i have is adjusting it. the up + down does absolutely nothing, only way i can move it up and down is with the left + right adjusters but they move diagonally so they go up and right or down and left.

any ideas?

edit:
Pushed the cover off, just 2 little legs with a bit on the ends bent over to hold it in.. casn easily be put back in, didn't need to remove headlight just pushed in then taken out of the other bulb hole...
