You know, perversely Sharia law offers 3 options for this-
1) Retribution, simply demanding the killer also be killed, 2) Receive Payment of blood money in liu of demanding the death of the killer, or 3) The family of the deceased may forgive the killer.
Putting the views of the victim or victims families first now there's something new!
No good at all, 1 - the " killer" might actually be innocent. 2 - rich people buy their way out, poor people can't. 3 - all well and good but ho in the family makes the decision.

The only answer is a real full life sentence, no parole or early release for any reason, no visitors and some kind of hard labour that is measured, don't make the quota they don't get food or drink.
But there is no chance of any of that, too many liberal dogooding gob shites who think the criminal has more rights than the victim, if you commit a major crime the emphasis has to be on punishment not rehabilitation.

Free speech is what they call it, and i believe if it's allowed then views needs to be heard from different sides to be fair to all parties.

Cyclists that do that stupid stationary balancing thing where they keep both feet on the pedals trying to avoid putting a foot on the floor at the front of the queue at red lights.
Saw one doing that about a year ago, just as the light went to green he lost it and just fell over to the left. My 15 year granddaughter was in the passenger, seat, wound down her window as we drove past and shouted " that'll teach you for trying to be a clever git " . I didnn"t know which was funniest, him falling over or her remark.

We have a washing machine, fridge, cooker. fairy round where I live you just leave your old junk appliance at the end of your drive and hey presto it's gone in a couple of days and by magic appears in the local scrap yard. He's a good old boy a grafter seems to make a living and provide a service to the local house holders. Only upsets the local council as they can't charge £20 to pick them up and we have to wait a week or 2 for them collect.
We have those fairies round here as well, usually two or three low lifes in a clapped out transit pickup that will take anything metal that is not bolted down.,

The most reasonable thing to do for the leaving MPS is to stand down and trigger a by election, after all, they used the party to become MPs. However, they all realise that only rarely do independent candidates get elected in the UK. Most , if not all, would fall into that category. They are simply hanging onto the gravy train. If all of this leads to some sort of realignment in the political organisation of the nation, that may be no bad thing, since the present system is outdated and corrupted
Looks like three Tories have joined them. As Agricola says they are just hanging onto that gravy train, who wouldn't want to hang onto that £77,000 salary and expense account
