Checking engine mounts
« on: 29 June 2016, 12:54:45 pm »
I'm getting lots of vibes from the engine through the frame, and want to check the engine mount(s).

Not sure what that entails though.

What and where do I need check and what might be wrong?

Check for damage, rips, cracks in the rubber. Check for movement. Check the bolts are torqued correctly. That's about all you can do. It's probably the exhaust vibrating not the engine. I think most if not all fazers vibrate around 5k

There are 2 big solid bolts going through the back of the engine, and one big bracket on the front corners. There are no rubbers!!! It's all solid!

He's a picture I took after someone was trying to tell me there was only one mound on the back of the engine.

Yea you're right. I thought the front ones had rubber bushings against the engine but they're metal.
