Hi all, I have done a quick search here on this forum, but can't really see any clear info on whether I can successfully lower the footrest position on my 2007 Fz1 ?
I have even thought about the Chinese options offered on ebay.
Anyone got any thoughts, or better still suggest a way forward ?
Cheers

There have been a few people that have tried this and there seems to be 1 of 2 ways, either a thicker/higher seat or some adjustable pegs.
I would say the pegs are the easier option but you have to be careful how you ride as once lowered they are rather easy to ground out while cornering.
Here's a link to said footpegs. Obviously there are other available but (as with all vital parts) try to steer clear of the chinese copies, last thing toy want I'd one snapping on you

Anyway I hope that helps

Tried adjustable variopegs on my 2008 gen2 they went in the SCRAP BIN after a couple of weeks couldn't get on with them. Bought a genuine yam comfort seat (Ebay) better riding position, but little more comfort (Still as hard as an oak plank) so I think thicker seat is the way to go.

I bought cheap chinses ones from ebay (no choice, had to have them after a knee op) pros - cheap, do the job, look ok. cons - took a lot of grinding to fit, don't spring up and down as easily as OEM, and can I trust them...? anyway HTH
