With Beth passing her test it was time for her to get on her FZS600 after doing all her lessons on an SV. Alas she prefers the way the twin goes compared to the Fazer. We were going to advertise the Fazer on here but were offered what she was looking for in a trade in, which is hassle and haggle
free. So yesterday we took delivery of a Suzuki Gladius in black and I gotta say "what a nice wee bike, and spotless". Went out for a spin last night and I could see her confidence was a lot higher on the Gladi, great to see. Unfortunately the bimble was cut short as we ran into hail and serious wind, so we turned back, when we reached the glen road home we had branches falling of the trees hitting us. The Fazer will be missed as I wanted to keep it for obvious reasons as you will see by the pictures.

Decided because of the rain up here not to go to the Lanark bike show and opted to go to the Cumbrian show, ahem. SHIT, SHITE, CRAP, AWFUL, DIRE. All these words don't come close, trades description should check out the web site. From our house it takes us 1hr 15min to get there (car), we set of at 11.45 and were back home by 3.30 and that included a shopping stop at asda  Will I be back, will I focc.

I recently bought Givi V35 tech panniers and a 460 top box to fit on my FZ1. The rack for these panniers as well as being bike specific is also pannier specific, not a problem. The thing that I would like to know is 1, has anybody got these fitted to there bike ? 2, can the rack be fitted to the bike which has a tail tidy fitted ?
Any help is much appreciated thanks

Speaking to a mate last night in the pub during what was supposed to be a football match . He says a fella at his work bought an FZ1, kept it for 2 weeks and sold it 'cos he couldn't handle the power. Fair enough I thought, nice to be honest, then he tells me he traided it in for an R1

Started to take the old barn next to our house down today to be converted into our new house, huurrrraaayyyyy ! After stripping the tiles off the roof then the sarking, low and behold, a huge pile of old tin cans. So I just had to have a rummage, lots of old tinned food that took me back to the eighties. Then deeper in, bingo, Tennants lager with the models on the back, harp lager, McEwans export , Piper pale ale, Topdeck shandy and Maid Marion mixers and old coke cans. Dark now so will get a better look tomorrow. Might put the good ones on a shelf in the bosses new hotel bar

Hi all
Now that the good weather is here I'm finaly getting a few miles on my new to me, 08 FZ1n,and loving it. The only gripe for me is there is no centre stand which is a pain when it comes to washing the bike and chain maintenance. I don't want to go the paddock stand route as they are awkward to take with you !! so I am looking at buying a centre stand. Being a bit of a spanner monkey the questions are, Is this doable / easy to fit ? And does anyone have one for sale ?
