Title: Blue Spot Rear Caliper
Post by: Northern Biker on 19 February 2019, 10:27:27 pm: Thinking of upgrading my rear caliper for a Blue Spot one, my question is does it matter if it comes from an R6, FZS1000, XJR1300 etc or are they all the same caliper? Thanks in advance.

Post by: bandit on 20 February 2019, 02:01:23 pm: Yes they will all fit but you need the bracket as well to modify to work, also the TRX850 will to but need bracket & torque arm.

These require minor filing/grinding to the 600 mounting bracket as the new caliper is a different shape.

The blue spot caliper from other bikes look the same but the mounting bolts have a different spacing between them so you can't use the 600 bracket. The 600 uses a smaller wheel spindle diameter than the donor bikes and possibly other dimension differences so the bracket from the donor bike can't be used either
