Title: pipes from cam shaft

Hi guys
I have bought a fzs600 2002 manual to try and find out what the two pipes are coming from the cam housing

Details s l1600

s l1600

but cant find them anywhere


I have an issue where water is getting into my airbox so am trying to discover where from.

hi WEZZYBOY and welcome to the forum.........mmmmm water in the air box , thats strange and a new one to me.....as a new member get yourself across to the introduction section and tell us a bit about yourself and your bike ,a picture always helps ,of your bike not you  :lol .......then give us a bit more info in this thread and iam sure you`ll get your problem sorted   :thumbup

Both pipes connect to the thermostat housing, does the water in the airbox contain coolant.

If you're referring to the two the unions that have rubber hoses attached that are going up and over the cam cover?


These are coolant in/out feed for the cylinder head.  The cooling system isn't directly connected, so it's very unlikely this water is from the cooling system, what colour is it, does it feel waxy and how much of it is there?


What often happens is owners/stealers reconnect the the drain/breather hoses incorrectly, one being the filler cap drain hose! 


The other ways are, crab to air box inner rubbers, cylinders 2- 3 not seating correctly after being removed allowing rain water in, these can be a bit of a pain to fit, some kind of modification to the airbox, they drill them to get more sound or in the vain hope of more power, blocked crankcase breather. 


They're others but these are kinda terminal and very unlikely, look for the simple first.

While you're in there I'd take the breather off. It's the fat s shaped pipe and check if it's blocked up with emulsified oil. The mayo looking gunk. I think if the oil was ever over filled some can get pushed up into the air box and it turns to mayo and blocks the pipes.
