Commonly found ones include Adnams Broadside, Old Speckled Hen and Wadworths 6X. But I once had a pint or few by Greene King which I think was called Black Dragon - long time ago and never seen it since, but it was veeerrrryyyy nice   :)

Kloster Andechs Weissbier a fantastic German wheat beer made by some monks in Bavaria.

I now take to importing it by the crate  :b

A father ed up prominently on the pillow. It is truA father passing by his son's bedroom was astonished to see the bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then, he saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow. It was addressed, 'Dad'. With the worst premonition, he opened the envelope and read the letter, with trembling hands.
Dear, Dad. It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend, because I wanted to avoid a scene with Mum and you.

I've been finding real passion with Stacy. She is so nice, but I knew you would not approve of her because of all her piercing's, tattoos, her tight Motorcycle clothes, and because she is so much older than I am.

But it's not only the passion, Dad. She's pregnant. Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods, and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children.

Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone. We'll be growing it for ourselves and trading it with the other people in the commune for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want.

In the meantime, we'll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so that Stacy can get better. She sure deserves it!

Don't worry Dad, I'm 15, and I know how to take care of myself. Someday, I'm sure we'll be back to visit so you can get to know your many grandchildren.

Love, your son, Joshua.

P.S . Dad, none of the above is true. I'm over at Jason's house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than the school report that's on the kitchen table. Call when it is safe for me to come home!

I am very partial to Norfolk Wherry, or Albion beer - yum! The local pub also sells a beer called Doom Bar - it's cornish, quite tasty, and you can't go wrong at the price!

My preferred alcoholic beverage is Breton Cider. Not your piss poor, slightly boozy apple juice that tastes like goats piss, or the overly sweet Stella Artois cidre (poncy stuff for Belgian poofters!), I'm talking a glass of cold, Val de Rance Heritage Celte cider, made not 10 minutes from home in Brittany, from apples around my home.

Or if I'm really, really lucky, it's the cider my friend Maurice Boixière gets from a farmer down the road. The famer only makes something like 100 bottles a year, but my god, is it tasty! Christ knows what the alcohol content is, but after a sip or two, you really don't care.  :)

Been know to partake of a Guinness on the odd occasion.
Maybe even two.
 ;)
Tiger or Corona have been the cooking lager of choice recently, Stella is silly expensive here atm but that usually has a place.

Hobgoblin, Old Peculiar, Broon Ale in bottles.

Basically as long as it ISN'T Bud, Miller or Tennents I'm happy to sup it.

I'm not a fan of beers as such, just any old lager will do me - not fussed which.

Gaining a bit of a taste for whisky though: Bushmills and Jura seem to be top of my list.

Try Lagavilin for a sippin' whisky and Laphroigh for a savourin' one.
