Hmmmmmmm....noggyfighter prob off the cards then although it would make a good project i think.

It aint none of the scabby rubbish that ive seen but at the same time it needs a bit of dosh thrown its way.....but i only need it until end of june as i seriously think i'll have signed up to a new bike whilst on my scotland trip.

At present i'm gonna strip it based on the kinda prices suggested i could get for it but somewhere between those prices & the "ideal world" prices could get a sale.

How much you looking to spend? How much work? I know of a mechanically sound 600 that would be spot on with a little cosmetic tlc (wheels need painting/powder coating).
Bollocks, bigger hammer required

Bristol, price is so variable. It depends on the age, mileage, condition etc. Have you got any pictures? How much are you looking for?

His budget is basically what he can get for his T reg restricted ER-5 (thats in good nick) plus a few hundred. He cant sell the ER-5 until August when his licence gets de-restricted so I am going to have to sub him till then.

I asked advice on here regards likely price i'd get.......& basically as is im talking about £800......it needs a new tank & a front fairing & attention to the rear brake switch at the foot end.

It is due its MOT in August.

Im off with it to Scotland on what will prob be a 1500 mile round trip....in June....whilst i'm up there it looks like I'm gonna either sign up to a new MT09 or a Z800.

So i could be open to a few different offers:-
Plus depends when he needs one:-

Offer 1- i get back from scotland, get it MOT'd....use it for the welsh camping trip in August-sell with all the extra fitted goodies for £800

Offer 2-i get back from scotland.......sell straight away but obviously needing an MOT soon after, leave the goodies on....for £700........i hope my new bike arrives in time to gloat on the welsh camp :b ....plus ill throw in a fibreglass aftermarket boxeye fairing, 2 spare blue spot calipers.....original can....obviously this is the easiest for me....& i cant guarantee what may or may not fail/pass MOT but i am confident enough to do the Scotland trip on it.

Offer 3.....as per offer 2.....except no added extras, i strip off all the sellable goodies.....levers, fancy torque arm, rear hugger & i try claw back some money selling all the individual parts........£600.

Ive just fitted Michellin pilot 3's front & rear, engine now only on 14.5 k miles, swingarm bearings were done last august.

In south west wales.

Looking to get one sooner rather than later so he has time to do any bits on it (also so I have time to ride it before he swipes the keys) and looking for something relatively standard (standard fairing etc) so he doesn't have to jump through hoops getting insurance which at 19 even with 3 years no claims wont be as cheap as his ER-5.

A gamble maybe, but have you considered making Craiginuk an offer (Fazer ingested screw)?

i have a 2002 foxeye im after choppin in for a new bike,

needs some work as recently came off...right side fairing is cracked above light and the mirror snapped off (easily fixed) has 15.5k miles roughly but the speedo has decided to stop working recently so that needs fixing!!

main thing is the downpipes have recently gained a hole, so either needs welding or replacing! (sounds rather loud and fun ha)

i can take some pics if your interested, all standard, datatagged and datatool immobilized.

cheers

scott
