I did an early morning run thro the B500 Black Forest this year in thick fog and it was raining, you could only see 2 metres in front, scary, i pulled over and waited for a vehicle to pass than followed its lights.

If they come visiting ie on holiday than fine, but if they come to the UK to earn money or to jump on the benefit system and regardless if its a seasonal job than they should be made to pay exactly what everyone else does ie have UK tax insurance and registration and not drive around for 6 months foc, and taking the pi55 ignoring speeding and parking fines. I don't blame these people i blame the nob ends in parliament for letting all this happen. We're a fooking soft touch, some area's of my home town have a high population of Eastern Europeans that sign on, so they claim they live here, but they drive cars that are still registered in there own country WTF is going on. We're fooked.

Daytona hot grips, there brill had several pairs of these in the past and I've just fitted a pair on my mates tdm, leave em on start and they melt ya gloves. They have a nice feel to em, similar to sports bike grips and not the usual bulky feel.

That bike in for sale section is lovely and if your going to stick it in a glass box than fine, but if your intention is going to be riding it, than your going to want to change the rear shock, sort the front forks, its now well over £5k and that's a lot of wonga for that. I brought a totally mint stock gen 1 with 6k on the clock for £2400, it was off a forum member and he brought it new and it had been ivanised by mike, it was totally stock and immaculate. I than turned it into this. It was minta than mint once i finished I'm OCD perfectionist, i think it had 11k on the clock when I sold it last year for £3850.

What i don't understand you say you looked for several years to find a gen1 ! What for a stop gap ! You purchased in sept 13 only as a stop gap because you pre-ordered a HD and 2 months later your selling the gen1, I'm sorry but it all sounds like your trying to cash in on making a few quid.
I thinks your about 1k overpriced. Nice bike tho maybe the fairing/painting costs would have been better spent elsewhere and seen as a worthy upgrade to a potential buyer.
All opinions and expressions of doubt and rage welcome.
Nice come back ! But you still fail to offer a genuine reply.

Love them dymags, very nice conversion indeed, the attention to detail is superb like keeping the ohlins fazer steering damper and all the brake pipe clips it makes it look like a factory job. My only criticism is with the colour of your bike i think black forks may have looked better !
But Superb i like it nearly as good as mine. LoL

I take it you still have a centre stand fitted ! If so you should of placed the bike on the centre stand on a block of wood (2" high is enuf) and than cable tie the front brake lever to stop it rolling forward, This would have given you all the height you required to move the swingarm to allow fitting of different dog bones.
Word of warning its s great feeling tinkering or getting your Mate to do it for you, but FFS make sure things are torqued up.

I had exactly the same problem once, i tried everything and even changed the loom, in the end i cut the big white block connector off under the left fairing trim and soldered the wires together and bingo all sorted .

wot the fook - not fit for purpose
Its going to the bmw crusher, no shit, the rear subframe is out of tolerance they can't get panniers to fit without cutting the shit out the panniers and the little Chinese bloke that welded the frame together put the steering stop in the wrong position, so lock to lock is different, left lock handlebar touches tank, right lock bar is 3.5" away from tank and the steering lock has never been in the correct hole when locked. How do I know all this well the steering caused me to have an accident ! The pictures above are the good side, I've had the bike inspected by 3rd party engineer with a full report to take action against bmw, the bike has gone back to BMW.

and somebody posting a sellers address on here, is bang out of order.
Shed loads of irresponsible posting on this thread!
I posted his address and i stand by it because the address is open for all to see, and if anything i was trying to show that Luke was being genuine that he brought the items in good faith from a breaker in London and i put a link to the listing so that there was no bad feedback against Luke. But Before you posted I'm bang out of order did have you take the time to look at the sellers listings ! Probably not but If you had than you would also see the sellers address is free for all to see after all he is a TRADER so where is the wrong doing, Because I'm puzzled, FFS armchair detectives.

talk to dek about how to bed an engine in ..... manufacturers detail a break in procedure which everyone can follow, but there are several theories about how best to do it. My GS for example has almost no break in procedure, advice was just to avoid prolonged full throttle use ...ie thrash it , but not too much ! my local bmw service manager believes the harder you ride it in the first 600 miles, the better. Fully synthetic goes in at 600 miles.Hence why for first 600 ( mineral oil) it dont want to be mollycoddled) ...
Jon your bm ain't run in till 30k ! Now mine @ only 1000 miles on the clock, 137 mph on the autobahn and to this day it still ain't used a drop of oil. I'm with Dek on the theory don't pussy foot around.
