Thanks again guys, I'll get at it on Friday as I don't have power to the garage & it's black by the time i get home this time of the year, at least it'll give me something to do on my day off! 

I haven't been on here for a while & for some reason my counts have all zero'd but hey ho!
Anyway i'll get back on topic, in the past month i have had a few instances (three or four) of trying to start the bike & all i get is a faint single knock/click, the first time it did this i put the side stand up & down a couple of times & rocked the bike back & forth whilst in gear, pushed the button & away it went.
I have tried this same process each time & so far it has allowed the bike to start but i don't want to keep putting off a permanant fix incase one day it doesn't start, the battery was new last winter & when it does turn over it has plenty of power so i don't think that is a part of the problem, just wondered if anyone had any ideas what it may be?
