I get the flies of the same evening with plane water and soft sponge.  May be a bit of Auto Glym leather cleaner, then some Auto Glym leather restorer rubbed in sparingly and leathers left to dry.

Got back fine after an early dart.  Tried to rear end the same car twice as I was so tired!  Great weekend again and we had the weather for a change!
See you all next year.

It is a lot of the same crew each year, because we have gone before and had a really great time, so book again for the next year, but there are always new faces.  The riding is great with ride outs to suit everyone and every pace.  Lots of booze gets drunk, but mostly chewing the fat around the fire.  Band on Saturday gets the place rocking, and the place is in the middle of nowhere, so there are no neighbours to get annoyed with any noise.  You can go to bed early if that is your thing, or get lashed until sunrise.  You can ride your bike lots, or just park it up for the weekend.  Get a taxi to Harrogate and sit in a pub all day.  Ride the width of England in a day, whatever suits.  It is a great weekend and only needs 1 more person to get it full.

The last test ride I did, I had to sign a form to say I was responsible for the 1st £1000 if I were to crash the bike.  Not sure how being on a track will alter that.  It will all be in the form your mate signed before the ride.  I would expect him to be liable for some of the damage at least.

Just needs the charging infrastructure.  I'm sure there is a sainsburys on my route into Wales, so I would stop there for a top up for 20 mins then carry on.  I'm taking the plunge on an all electric car for commuting.  Still keeping the family wagon for longer journeys.  The BMW i3 is a rocket ship up to about 40 MPH.  Worth a test drive.

I rarely get 25 miles from my house anyway and most trips are to work and back.  I would get one over a panegale if both were an option

I agree.  Never heard of Mission Motorcycles before.  That bike looks amazing and would seem to offer just what I have sitting in th garag now.  Price is prohibitive, but if you look at the latest Panegale at £25k then not that far off.  I'm all for electric, bring it on.  Would love to have a go on this.

Parafin and the same brush that Bigralphy uses, then lube of choice

I think it is more the speed of the manoeuvre that caused the problem.  If bike had been sat in lane 1 with car outside in lane 2 and bike continued to undertake at steady speed then I doubt he would have been pulled.

Those Arrow cans make the Tuono sing.  I had the gen 2 and it was an absolute hoot!

Street triple is an ace bike. I'm 6"2 and comfortable enough.  Surprising grunt for around town and great fun using full throttle and letting it scream knowing that it does not mean prison speeds.  Handling is sublime and very light.  I would recommend them to anyone.  I've just swapped mine or a twin for bit more grunt, but not because the street was lacking, just time for a change.

If this all becomes a problem then throw money at it and buy a FuzeBlock, as this does everything you want in 1 neat package. You can choose between always on and switched just by moving the fuse, and it has relays built in. I used one to run heated grips, gear indicator and usb phone charger.  Allowed for a neat installation under the seat.  Not as satisfying as wiring it all up yourself, I've done that too, but it took me 4 times as long when you count in mistakes and cutting wires to the wrong length!

You can still have it self contained, you just need to separate your +ve bus bars in the box so you have one that runs off the battery direct and is always on and the other is fed from the switched feed relay.  The negative bus bar can be a common negative for all.

You would have 2 +ve feeds from the battery, 1 directly to the "always on" bus bar and the other to the relay and then onto the "switched" bus bar.  You can wire 2 wires to the 1 connector at the battery terminal and split them off later to keep it neat.  Or just wire from battery to pin 87, then take a wire from pin 87 on relay to the "always on" bus bar and then wire the rest as per diagram.

You can buy a FuzeBlock that does this job for you,  but it costs £70, however it is one self contained unit.

I can do a wiring diagram for you if needed.

brake cleaner,  Work a screwdriver gently in just a little, then get some brake cleaner with the straw on the nossle and give it a good squirt.  Keep trying to wiggle the grips and more brake cleaner and they will come off unharmed.

Your phone company will have data of what phone masts your phone connects to.  So wherever your phone goes there is data that can pinpoint your location to within 10 meters.  That is kept for a set period of time.  Not sure how long.

For Sale & Wanted / Re: 2006 FZ1 For Sale

I can vouch for the quality of this bike.  I have spent may mile chasing it over the North York Moors a few years ago.
Good luck with the sale Dek and looking forward to seeing some pics of the S1000r.  I'm pretty much certain I'll get one for next season once I've paid off my Street Triple.

A good bike, more at touring end than sporting end, opposite to the FZ1.  Engine is great, comfortable too.

Highly rated by me too. Been on my FZ1 7 years now & there's one on my soon to be s1000r. Full throttle upshifts are great. No needing to shutoff to unload the gearbox, just open that throttle & hang on.
The best mod for fun factor ever. Fact!  8)

Hey Dek hope you are doing well.  I would love to hear your opinions on the S1000r when you get it, thinking of one of those for next year.

Get one, they are ace.  You can still use the clutch for around town, but any opportunity to pin the throttle, then you can just tap away.  Lots of fun.
