Hi. For sale is my refurbished 4xv yamaha wheel. It has been to the powder coaters and is a lovely gloss black and looks great. Comes with discs and bearings etc. It was off my fazer but should fit other models R1 and maybe R6 too not 100% sure.

Advert it also on eBay.

To cover costs I'm after £140. But am open to sensible offers.

Any questions give me a message.

For sale is my Yamaha R1 2000 model Titanium end can
I've filed the hole for the hanger so it fits.
I had it on my 2001 bike for 4 months and it sounded great. It's got a lovely bark at 4,000 rpm

Incase you were wondering, yes it passed an MOT with it on the bike.

£offers would be great but I'd like at least £25
I can post but if you're in the area collection will be fine.

Fixed ! cylinder 1 spark plug has oil on it, changed for a new one. I'll wait a while and see if it fouls up again.

Hi everyone, hope you're enjoying this small window of nice weather were having in the uk at the moment. Anyway got a problem with the fazer all of a sudden I have no power, well I do but only to about 5000 rpm and 40 mph even though the throttle is wide open I've checked fuel pipes to see if they are kinked and all are good. I've don't no work on her to cause this apart from clean around the coil cover with WD40 where the wire goes into the engine that's it. Everytime I open the throttle it's like the choke is still on but It isn't. It's very strange. If anyone can shed some light on the matter it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi all. I need another tyre for the fazer so had a look around at the prices and deals online
And worked out  that I could get another wheel and tyre for about £130-180
The reason I wanted another wheel is I plan to repaint my wheels a different color but can't take time off work to
Take em to the paint shop etc. so that's the plan kill two birds and all. So anyway I managed to find on eBay
An R1 wheel n tyre complete with disc n sprocket so my question is will it fit. Advert below...

Rear wheel and really good tyre ,Disc and sprocket . straight wheel really good paint. The tyre is like new id say 90% tread left {diablo corsa 190 50 17} Disc is straight and sprocket is still left on, usable condition. The wheels off a 2000 5jj model but sure it will fit most of the models , please check first though.
check out my other listings as whole bike being dismantled
uk mainland postage only.

Whoa!

I have the top two bits and the plate that bolts onto the exhaust allowing the valve to go through, pics to follow

Post a pic of what you have there - it sounds like you have the valve but maybe not the rest of it.

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / No EXUP valve in exhaust
« on: 07 August 2013, 10:39:29 pm »
Yes ive bought a Fazer 1000 without a flipping exup valve, tut. I was cleaning her down and decided to do a little check / service on the exup valve i'd heard so much about, so, took off the shiney chrome cover and just saw the spindle looking back at me and two cables tied together with some wire,
i cut the wire off and pulled each one in turn hoping for the servo noise which came but after a few pulls the cable snapped, yikes, nevermind i can replace the cables easily enough, but why should I when i've got no exup valve to attach them to. So my BIG question is, where can i buy just the valve needed to release the famous mid-range punch i thought i had ? already checked ebay btw

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: Fuel gauge flickering
« on: 31 May 2013, 08:03:06 pm »

Ok, but it's the engine that's wet with oil can this come from the gear selector ?

There is a gasket that tends to fail, it holds the gear selector cover.  The replacement gasket is metal as the bikes were fitted with a rubber / paper type gasket originally.
I had a similer sounding leak a few years ago and if you remove the sprocket cover, clean the area and then run the bike you should see where the weep of oil is coming from.
If it is that cover it's an easy job to do as removing the cover doesn't leak oil so you don't need to drain / replace oil.   It's just a faff take off the gear selector linkage etc. #

yeah the chain wasn't very oily and wasn't greased by the garage, so i'm assuming was engine oil as it was black and hot

Is it an oil leak or just excess chain oil collecting on the front sprocket. Watch it for a few days until you are certain before doing anything about it.

Hi everyone, just got my 2001 Fazer FZS 1000 today, and really like it. I've a couple of niggles that i'd like to know the answers to if that's ok. The first is the rather annoying fuel gauge that moves up and down on it's own depending on if you rock the tank when riding or with it just stood and rocked it between your legs, a bit of research from other Fazer owners tells me it's something in the tank maybe a sender that's faulty ?. And the second thing is a small oil leak that i discovered when stopping off for a cuppa on the motorway, it's not much and after taking off the sprocket cover found the leak to be no higher than the sprocket itself, is this a seal that needs changing ? or something worse ? apart from that she's a minter.

Cheers in advance

Alex
