Gen 2 front forks adjustment/alteration
« on: 25 March 2016, 07:44:07 am »
morning Foccers,

I am considering dropping the front forks through the yolks... Can any one please remind me the recommended amount.. Was it 10mm? Can any of you give feedback to how it feels on the road after this mod?

Cheers,

Charlie :lol

Seeing as I got picked up on this before I might as well spread the love :o You're probably not "considering dropping the forks through the yolks" but raising them through the yokes or dropping the yokes down the forks.

I don't recall seeing as much advice regarding this mod on the Gen2 which as I understand it is sharper steering 'out of the box' than the Gen1 so perhaps doesn't benefit as much from more weight on the front end. It's a 5 minute job on the Gen1 so assume it's roughly the same on the Gen2, Why not try it for yourself and see how you get on, then report back to let us know. I recon 10mm would be a good starting point.
