Hi, just a quick suggestion this as it irks me personally, and thought perhaps I'm not the only one.
I've been visiting the forum regularly and "lurking", but only recently signed up. As a lot of members have signatures, its annoying to see this tapatalk one as well.
I understand this "sent by xxx via tapatalk" is enabled by default when you purchase the app, but I personally don't want to advertise an app I paid for, nor do I think anyone cares what phone I have.
This can be globally disabled in the forum administrators page of tapatalk, to save each member doing it, could it at least be put to a vote to remove it?
I know its a small petty thing, but it does get annoying seeing it so frequently.
As I say, I may be alone, if so, ill shut up :-\
Cheers,
Mick

When u post with tapa 2 there is an option to change ur signature b 4 u post

See what i mean?
-
And back to no siggy.

For us paupers who are still on tapatalk one (my android device's firmware doesn't support tapatalk 2), there is no option on a post-by-post basis, although it is turned on by default.
As I say, a small thing, just thought I would fling it out there :)
-
I've heard about u flingin ur small thing out there hehe
Get tapa 2 so good
-
:lol
You been spying on me? ;)
Can't get tapatalk 2, my phone is too old and diseased for it.
-
Unfortunately this tapatalk feature does not work - the signatures are disabled for this forum but they still appear.
And unfortunately this thread (https://support.tapatalk.com/threads/tapatalk-signature-issue.18589/) is one of those to which tapatalk haven't replied.
-
Ah well, thanks for trying anyway farjo, poor show tapatalk, it seems.
-
Not alone though MickVP. It's on a par with all those work emails I receive ending in "Sent from my iBrick 3000!" - to me, it's unprofessional. I understand a message (and use myself) such as "Sent on the go" so that people know why that email has 1200 spelling mistakes, but having it show the model of your phone, or that you've paid £299.99 for some silly app is just the height of vanity.
Somebody pass me my cocoa.
Sent using Bah Hum Bug 5.4, the only app for all us twisty b******s
-
299.99 I only paid that for my bike lol, :rollin sent by crap talk .
-
Likewise, what if you don't want to fess up to having a crap phone?
-
Tapa 2 update just downloaded. No problems on iphone 5. Brilliant app. Maybee the update will sort some issues.
And now comes in blue ;-)

Exup, I'm going to write to the Oxford English Dictionary to have you put down under the word "poser". :lol :lol :lol

As a newb to the world of smartphones could someone tell me what tapatalk does and why i should get it?
Sent from my brain using my fingers.

I second this request!, it suggests good things will happen, if others have it then we should surely have it dude! :lol
Maybe it changes the layout of the keyboard on phones and ipads so that you can use your thumbs instead of stabbing at them with 1 finger or somethin, or maybe it teaches you how to speak the language of Tappa!!!
-
With all of this build up I'm expecting it to give at least an 800% increase in my level of awesomeness
-
sorry, only just saw your post dudeness :)
Tapatalk is a forum reader app; basically, it strips away all non-essentials, and makes browsing the forum very much like reading a text message. you wont see avatars, and the interface is completely different visually.
It works very well, and due to its stripped back nature, it generally loads a lot quicker on the mobile than the equivalent thread if you were to view it through your web viewer on the phone (or tablet, this is especially so when the thread is media heavy with lots of pictures).
All in all, I think its worth every penny (I think it was around £1.50 or something?), and makes browsing on the go much cleaner and simpler, for me at least, anyway.
I hope this somewhat answers your question :D
-
It does thanks.
-
I think it's very childish to have a silly signature. And snobbish to gloat about what phone you have. >:D
